Good hotel with Room for improvement

This is not a bad hotel but there is definitely room for improvement. It was clean and quite comfortable, although very warm and stuffy. We couldn’t leave the window open at night because of the road noise. The staff were excellent, very pleasant and helpful and welcoming but they were seriously understaffed. The breakfast was very good. I understand not providing tea and coffee making facilities or water bottles to save costs but if we’re expected to buy them ourselves a small fridge should be provided to keep them fresh. It is in a very good location with a bus to town virtually at the door and a ferry just a 5 minute walk away.

Room tip: Select a room not on the road side

It is nice to see you had a great stay with us, and enjoyed the hotel, it's location, the breakfast, and the staff's excellent service. This means a lot to us.

I'm sorry you felt you were missing a fridge in the room. We removed these due to environmental reasons, as an initiative to become a eco labeled hotel. I hope you understand.

Litt skuffende opphold

Usually I choose Scandic when i travel. This time my stay was not as expected. I reserved a room, superior extra, for 2 pers. and preordered some fruit to be delivered to the room at the day of arrival, between 17-18. The room was not prepared for 2 pers., the fruit did not arrive and when it was delivered after I asked for it, it was only for 1 pers. The superior extra room is equipped with a water boiler for tea and coffee, but there was no tea or coffee...... The ventilation system in the room did not work, so we had to have the window open, but due to cargo trains and noisy peoples it was hard to sleep, even if we were in fifth floor..... So next time maybe I will try a different brand of hotels

Thank you very much for your feedback which is of great value to us. We really appreciate when our guests wants to help us improve our product. I'm sorry that your preorder was mishandled somewhere along in the process, we will look into that to avoid any mishaps in the future. I have let our housekeeping manager know that the coffee and tea was missing, so we will have an extra check up on that. We have a central cooling system, but we have had days recently with humidity above 90% which makes the air feel very sticky and there for very hot.
