Description: Manzel translates to "Home " in Arabic. Our style and atmosphere reflects the warmth you experience when entering the home of family or close friends. You always feel welcome, and you can kick back and relax knowing that you will have a wonderful evening. This is the ambiance Manzel wishes to capture every evening. Our cuisine is deeply rooted in traditional Lebanese culinary traditions. Here the spices and the herbs are the stars and all the meat is halal. We cherish a culture where the traditions are upheld, but translated into a contemporary look and expression. We live by the Lebanese way of sharing food - home style dishes that comes to the table fluently throughout the evening, making time for tasting everything. Much like at a family dinner. There are no rules, and we are happy to break the conventional ideas of dining. Manzel is the epitome of a dream. Mikkel Shafi wanted to create a universe where dining is a refined experience, yet warm, personal and unforgettable. Welcome Home...

The location is super central. The interior is cool with different themes in the different rooms. We had cocktails with a bit of Lebanese tapas. Then we moved to the restaurant part of the place where we ordered ribs, lamb and tabouleh... the læst being the worst of the 3. The meat was tasteful and the portions were OK. The waiter was really friendly. The toilets had a quincky design .. however very different from what we are used...
Would go there again !

The 9 servings menu was a huge let down, calling a couple of spoonfuls of yoghurt a serving of any kind is just a hoax, on top the wine pairings were plain bad, matching very acidic dishes with equally acidic dry wines is just not good form. The only redeeming quality was the chicken cous cous which was ok. Poor value for money.

The dinner was small different thing. A little piece of chicken and a small piece of greasy lamb, toogether at the most 80g.. Most of the meal was ex. olives etc. We ordered a bottle of redwine coming with 1/2l. of water. It was a very warm day, so we ordered more water 2 times, for 2 x 1/2l. water, we payed 70Dkr. Normally the water is free, when you order wine, but not here.

My girlfriend took me to celebrate an accomplishment and I liked the place a lot, it is expensive as most restaurants in Copenhagen, but the service is outstanding, the chef made something special for my girlfriend who is vegan, and the food was very tasty. I recommend it if you're looking for good lebanese food or just a nice restaurant to eat in Copenhagen.

The Lebanese cooking was very tasty - but service was exceptionally slow (albeit very kind) and it was quite a pricey dinner in the end.
