This hotel deserves tops 2 stars, maybe 3 in winter time.
What made me utterly disappointed with our stay:
* The only one special request we had emailed in when booking, got overlooked completely, putting us in stress and making us camp on the floor because our children are too small to be on bunk beds 170 cm up in the air. Never been so disappointed in my life!
* Looking forward to a buffet dinner, we are informed that the dinner restaurant is closed. So we had to venture the city instead with tiny children and tired legs. Not nice!
* When inquiring about dinner, the lobby recommends eating - in the lobby - a hamburger for instance. No wonder the lobby reeked of steak house and bacon. This was not appetizing.
* 29° C and no air conditioning. Couldn't leave the windows open because they were right on a highly trafficked street. The bus driving by made the room shiver. So we slept in our tiny room like bananas in saran wrap.
* Wardrobe space and space for bags are non existing. You can hang 5 items on hangers and that's that. We had our stuff on the already crowded floor!

What was good:
*** Reasonably clean.
**** Bathroom was roomy, fresh, clean.
**** Breakfast was great with make-your-own-waffles, lots of fresh fruit, yogurts, fresh orange juice, ok hot food.

It boggles my mind that this average 2,5 hotel can have 4 stars! Did we stay at the same place?

Dear FoodieCaro,

Thank you very much for your feedback, it´s very important to us.

We are happy to hear that you are satisfied with the cleaning and that the breakfast gave you such a great experience!

We are so sorry to hear about the other experiences of your stay. It is true that several of our family rooms has bunkbeds. We have several room categories, if you are coming back to our hotel in the future please let us know you wish for another room and we will help you find a more suitable one!
Unfortunately our restaurant don´t serve buffé dinner, we have an á la carte restaurant and during the summer with lower demand we serve dinner in our cozy lobby area.
It has been an unusually hot summer in Sweden and we do agree that we need air condition.

We will take a look at all our routines so any inquirys won´t be missed.

We hope one day you will come back so we give you a much more pleasant experience than this one.

Wish you all the best and a very nice weekend!

Stayed here for one night and was happy with everything else except the room temperature which was ridiculously hot (for a Finn). Apparently there is no AC in this place. Clean, stylish and modern room with a nice bathroom. I would gladly recommend this place when the outside temperature is not too hot.

Location of the hotel is very good! Everything is near. We had a birthday meeting in Södertälje. We came from Finland by car and the hotel was a great choice. Affordable restaurants are close to the hotel.

Recommended by a local company, used a lot by Scania..stayed here 2 nights for business meetings. Staff are very friendly and speak English; check in was quick, with my room on the 5th floor facing the front.

The room was big, 2 single beds, laminate floors, and teeny desk. Welcome red wine, water and chocolate, big TV with loads of satellite and radio stations. Wifi was free, and connection was good.

Curtains definitely not blackout, plenty of road noise despite the height. Free standing bathtub, which would have been nice had the shower been further from the wall. But there's a drain under the bath, so I guess it's ok. Towels are a bit on the thin side, but they'll give a donation to charity if you use them more than once, which is cool. Bed was soft and squashy, no support at all.

Both nights I stayed, Scania had blocked booked the restaurant, so I ate in the bar. Chef has mastered the art of crispy fries, unlike the soggy sort so often served. Burger was just right too.

Hotel was ok for a short stay, any longer and the bed would have crippled me.,

Have stayed here a few times over the years as it is one of the recommended properties for our company in this locale. The facilities and rooms are very utilitarian, but generally serviceable.

Following the European style, there are no dressers or built-in drawers for storage in the guest rooms, so you're basically left to use your luggage as storage - unfortunately they don't provide a luggage stand, so every time you want to get something you've got to plop your luggage on the bed to get what you need and then zip it back up and put it back down on the floor which gets a little annoying after a while. They also only provide three or four hangers for your hanging clothes, so again a lot of stuff that you would normally want to hang up will be stuck in your luggage for the duration. Fortunately, they will at least provide you with an iron and ironing board so you can quickly freshen things up when you pull them from your bag (we requested the iron and board in advance and found them in the room when we arrived - of course, there's no storage for them, so they basically were left sitting around in the room even when not in use, so not the most elegant of decor!).

There is a tiny fold out shelf/desk that you can use for your laptop, but it is tiny, so you have may troubles using your laptop - our flip top screen was too big and we had to keep it at an odd angle so it would fit in the available shelf space behind the fold down shelf. They provide complimentary wifi by giving you on checkin a number of little slips with one day random login names and passwords which is somewhat annoying - why not just dispense with these and deal with the possibility that someone might steal free wifi or have a common login for all guests? While there is no refrigerator or microwave (common in many U.S. hotels), they do provide a small "kettle" so you can make yourself some hot tea and coffee on demand.

The only real negative in the room that we had was that it was on the ground floor right on the street, so pedestrians walking by could just look into your room. To avoid gawkers, we kept the drapes pulled throughout our stay - not that there was much to see outside anyway. Although there was a fair amount of vehicle traffic on the street as well, there was good soundproofing so that we couldn't really hear them passing by.

Breakfast is included in the room rate. This is the typical European fare - cold cuts and cheese, sausage, bacon, scrambled eggs, fruit, bread and rolls, etc. The only negative was that the hot food was invariably cold, but otherwise fairly tasty with a good variety.

Overall, it was a fairly good stay, and we will probably stay here again if we have need to come back.
