the location in middle of town was excellent and we could talk with the receptionists about resto's nearby. All the rest was negative.
Uppsala is just good for a few hours or one night to spare. Would never go in this hotel again.

I am very sorry to hear that you had a negative experience at our hotel and in Uppsala as well. Hopefully we'll get a chance to give you a second and better impression. We thank you for your honest feedback.

Hotel lacks charm and personality, but is located in very central and nice part of town next to Linne Gardens (free entry included). The room and ensuite were clean, fresh and tidy but somewhat outdated. Hotel cafe/bistro Smultron is good value. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast OK, but could be improved. I would return for staff and location.

Nice quiet central location. Easy to find and access by car. Cheap parking (free overnight) on the street and plenty of available parking lots a weekday in August (still vacation time in Sweden).
Very clean room and nice staff.
However, the hotel was renovated a few years ago using substandard material and workmanship. Wear and tear. General impression not acceptable. Very small bathroom very small shower space and with wrong drainage of water on the floor.

Want to stay in a nice part of downtown Uppsala within walking distance of all major attractions and a stunning view over the Linnean garden from almost all rooms and doesn't mind wear and tear then very good place to stay. Otherwise

It is supposed to be a 4 star Hotel, maybe it was in the past, but not anymore. The first impression we have had was the room, the space was limited, there was dust everywhere, and even more, the toilet was smelly. The bed was moving if you turn side. Overall the room was a disaster. The breakfast was nice with a nice view of the gardens. There is a free sauna service, but it seems that the sauna does not work properly. Do not forget to contact the reception if you are going to visit the sauna, just to be sure it is on, but even so the temperature is not high in the sauna room. The location is good, on the edge of the city center. It would be good if it claimed to be a 2 star Hotel.

I love polished floor at hotel's, but unfortunately our floors has not been clean. There was fluffy dust and a dead bugs on the floor in our room. Bathroom is tiny but adequate. Room was bright.
We wanted to have drunk about 10 pm, but there was only water and some juice to buy at the reception. Bar was closed.
Dinner at hotel was ok but somehow needs improvment. We had some salad, rice and chicken in red sauce. Bit boring and nothing Sweetish really.
Breakfast was excellent. Wi Fi worked well.
