Everything, and I mean everything, is brandes Cuba-style. Very impressive. The room was cosy, small for three prople but it was ok. Great staff and the Hemingway tower with its terrace is a must. Great staff in the reception and breakfast.
Minus for totally unskilled staff in the tower. And the hotel is quite pricey: Why then charge extra for the pool?

We've been here for a week in a 15m² double room with king size bed: everything in a good and clean shape. No complaints - only mattresses could be a bit more tight.
Calm room (we had one with A/C* so we could get window closed at night).
Breakfast was tasty and offered a big choice.... only dissapointing thing has been that in "crispbread-country" there've been only two varieties to choose from.
Really great, attentive and friendly staff at all days: they really made us feel @home - thanks for this again!!

We also enjoyed staying at the rooftop bar and attic rooms at a rainy day: very calm and relaxed stay... you can feel there like at home and can get downstairs all day long fresh brewed tea and coffee and some cookies for free.

Another big plus: there's a walkway to the beach near by. You need less than 5 minutes to walk - there's also a nudist area, seperated for men and women: also very calm and relaxed.

A walk to the city centre only needs app 12 minutes where you can also find restaurants if you search for an alternative to the hotel's one.

To sum it up: well situated great hotel, worth for money (in relation to usual hotel prices in Sweden) - highly recommended - we'll come back if we'll get in this area of Sweden next time. :-)

We treated ourselves to an afternoon spa and we're so pleased we did so. A great way to iron out the wrinkles of travelling. The pools are a delight and very relaxing, the sauna's are both dry and steam and the aptly named Antartica pool is a great plunge.
We had enjoyed ourselves immensely and our companions deemed it appropriate to have an evening meal which was just delightful. Excellent service, great advice on selections and wine.

Thankfully we live in a country where doing your best and caring for your business with love counts and keeps you ahead of competition! Enjoy this excellent hotel if you can ignore your moral compass knowing that hotell Havanna celebrates men with countless lives and crushed countries on their conscience - it is a hell of a lovely hotel! Great in pretty much every aspect - location, facilities, service, food (despite to immersion in unsubtle propaganda).

A little piece of Cuba and Ernest Hemingway tucked away on the West Coast of Sweden. What's not to love? The food was brilliant. I had the duck which was finger licking good. The decor was quirky and has to be experienced. Go upstairs to the Hemingway room which has views over the North Sea. There's even a smoking room to try out the Cuban cigar or two. The Rum Bar is impressive, although lacking in classics such as Australia's Bundaberg Rum. A great place to visit when in Varberg.
