The hotel is overpriced for not enough reasons.
It's true that the location is stunning, the staff was very attentive and breakfast was quite pleasing.
However, in order to be the most expensive hotel in the island, they have to renovate the rooms, take care of the bathroom (our shower head was rusty), CHANGE the toiletry provider (our shower gel was useless and shower cap was ridiculously small) and put new safety doors

This is a stylish hotel with a beautiful pool area. The views from the hotel and particularly the restaurant are stunning. The owner is extremely welcoming and the staff all very helpful. Breakfasts were excellent and we ate in the restaurant a few times and the food was delicious. There is a beautiful spa area although we didn't use this. I did take one of the cookery classes and this was most enjoyable. The only reason I didn't give the hotel five stars is that it is quite expensive and I felt the room and bathroom were a bit small. However the view from the room was magnificent. That said, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend the hotel to others.

When you wake up every morning and see the view, you'll pinch yourself to make sure you aren't dreaming. And then you will be so filled with gratitude that when you see the food that awaits you for breakfast you'll question again if it's not a dream. Fresh squeezed orange juice from citrus grown on the property? Really? This place is wonderful and so is the staff, who make a great effort to make sure you are well cared for. The pool is amazing and if you get out, to to the towns below and in the hills surrounding the resort and soak in the friendly Greek culture. Wonderful visit!

Amorgos is the kind of island where you need 1 week to completely relax and unwind and this hotel will help to make sure that comes true. Situated on top of a hill with the most supreme view of Aegialis beach (especially from the restaurant area) and a 20 minute walk away from the beach and town, this hotel offers a slice of serenity. The pool area and exterior hotel decor and flowers are picture worthy!
The hotel also organises a tour to the monastery of Panagia Chorzoviotissa and Agia Anna Beach (where le Grand Bleu was filmed). This tour is fantastic, especially if you wish to totally unwind and not worry about driving along the windy roads.

We also partook in the cooking class and herbal garden tour. These were fabulous! The hotel owners grow many herbs and vegetables - all of which are used at the hotels restaurant!

On our last night, there was also a wonderful Greek night at the restaurant, with live violin (played by the hotel manager Stamatis) and Laouto played by Niko. This was a fabulous taste of authentic Greece and a very memorable night!

The food at the restaurant is also mostly wonderful. The goat is tender and the rice filling supremely tasty! I would shy away from the pastas though and stick with the Greek dishes! The service, especially by restaurant manager Arta was fabulous! She is on the ball, speaks many languages and tries her absolute best to make every customer feel at ease and welcomed.

Erini, the hotel owner most certainly deserves a mention. She is very hospitable and tries her best to make you feel at home.

The major criticism I have for this hotel is the classic room. The bathroom, especially the shower, was very small and the interior design is rather outdated. The beds were also uncomfortable. Fortunately we love exploring so the discomfort of the room did not overly weigh down the rest of the beautiful hotel and island. But, I do suggest that these be renovated soon!

Many thanks for an enjoyable, hospitable and restful stay and we hope to return soon!

A bit pricey but indeed a lovely hotel with a Greek aroma in the decor and a fantastic view over the aegiali bay. All the staff were very friendly and helpful . Would strongly recommend. The island overall was magical and well worth the visit.
