2nd time visiting this apartment. Had a lovely stay with well equipped apartment. John was very helpful when we wanted to extend our stay. Will be back soon
What an apartment. There are not enough superlatives to do this apartment justice. We went here to use as a base while we searched for our ideal home.Location fantastic. Several previous reviews stated a car needed. If your mobile no -15 mins walk to Plaza.20 mins walk along the canal to Los Dolses. The apartment has every you could possibly need. You think of it,it's already there.Neighbours very friendly. Supermarkets close by.We walked every day to shop.We hired a car but in reality didn't need it.Went to Zenia Boulevard a couple of times. Thank you to John and Linda.Nothing was to much trouble and we changed our arrangements a couple of times.
Five stars all the way.
Had a lovely couple of weeks at this apartment. From the outset John and Linda were really helpful. Answering all of our questions.
The apartment is nicely furnished, very homely and much more modern than a lot we've stayed in. There are heaters provided for this time of year when the evenings are colder. And an open fire, which we didn't use.
It's a very well equipped apartment too, inside and out, with just about everything you could need on holiday. Graham the key holder is very helpful and close by should you need anything. Pool looked lovely, but a bit cold for us in January!
A car is needed really for getting around, but you are in walking distance of Villamartin Plaza, where there is a good little supermarket and bars and restaurants. There are regular busses from there too I believe.
There is a lot to do in the area. We like La Zenia beach and the smaller beaches as you go into Torrevieja. Also the little stalls at the market by the port car park are good, and the promenade there with restaurants. Keepers is a favourite, lovely menu del dia.
If you like Chinese food, Semana 8 is great. Fantastic value before 8pm. Great food, 3 courses and half a bottle of wine is 10 euros each. Also, at the Plaza, a new one for us. The Hen's Teeth Spanish restaurant. Lovely food at good prices.
The cable car at Benalmadena is worth doing. Brilliant views and a bird of prey show at the top. Limited out of season though.
Went to Cartegena this time. Really worth a visit. Beautiful place with lovely buildings and a pretty port area. Lots of nice bars and restaurants. Also has a Roman amphitheatre and a castle to visit.
We like this area a lot, and would definitely stay at this apartment again. Thanks for a great stay.
Had a great time at John and Linda's apartment. Everything you need for self catering break. The surrounding environment is peaceful and very well looked after. Only a fifteen minute pleasant walk to Villamartin Plaza which we did sometimes couple of times a day. A car is essential for visiting local beaches and nearby amenities etc. We love this area of Costa Blanc's so would happily stay again.
We stayed here for 15 nights and had a great time exploring the area-a car is definitely essential if you want to explore the local towns, markets and beaches but don't take that as a negative as there are plenty of restaurants and bars within a 15 minute walk and taxis are reasonable. There is a really decent Aldi about a 5 minute drive away but for a huge choice, the supermarket at La Zenia Boulevard only takes 10 minutes to drive to. Communication from the owners, John and Linda, was great and also from Graeme who manages the apartment-he met us there when we arrived and went through everything with us, sharing useful tips about when to visit beaches etc. The apartment was clean and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay and we even cooked a few meals at the apartment, rather than going out. The pool area is lovely and peaceful-just make note of the rules around food, drink etc at the pool and you'll be fine. There seems to be a good mixture of nationalities in the apartments and both permanent residents and holiday lets-we found that everyone was friendly. We always managed to get a parking space, even in high season, but there was plenty of space on the road if not.
Our favourite beach was Cabo Roig-definitely worth the trek down the steps-great swimming and water sports available-gets busy but we always got a spot-sunbeds/parasol prices seemed a bit high but we were happy to sit on towels as spent lots of time cooling off in the sea. We had a great time here and hope to return in future.
This is the 3rd time in 3 years we have been to this apartment and never disappoints, recommend, easy 15 minute walk to villaplaza, excellent pool.
