While the restaurant isn't exactly in the center of Reykjavik it's certainly worth the short walk. The staff is friendly, the service is quick, and they take reservations. There were quite a few locals there so that was a very positive sign as well. The food was some of the best we had in Iceland and it was a romantic spot for our last night with some light Spanish guitar playing in the background and a distinctly Mediterranean decor. We shared the duck confit as an appetizer (SO delicious I wish we ordered two!) and had the lamb and salmon for main courses (very fresh and well prepared). The wine list was unique and did not disappoint either, I actually chose the cheapest glass of red wine they had (from Frakkland) and was really surprised by the quality and flavor. I would highly recommend this place for couples and families alike looking for fresh Icelandic food with a hint of an Italian flare.
Tips: While the ambience was clearly romantic and carefully curated no one minded that we arrived in VERY casual dress (we were still in our hiking clothes). Their menus are beautifully handwritten and include daily specials from local fishermen.
