Description: Inspiring traditional Icelandic cuisine. We take the good old traditional recipes and the best Icelandic ingredients to create fun and tasty food. Let tradition surprise you! We go to great lengths to find Icelandic cookbooks and other written material that may contain recipes we can use in new and inventive ways. Everything on our menu is homemade with first class produce.

We visited this restaurant for an anniversary dinner. The staff were lovely, the food was fabulous from start to finish ie the bread was too die for. The halibut soup was great and the ocean perch was cooked to perfection served interestingly with rhubarb and cabbage a kind of alternative coleslaw.

Yes, this was pricey but worth it. The cod's head is amazing, as are the salted cod croquettes and the "halibut" soup. The desserts are delicious, especially the skyr. Best of all, the server took time to explain every single dish to us, answer our questions, and make recommendations. I never felt rushed, even though we had a 9 pm reservation. You'll want a reservation, by the way! It's a small space and very popular.

This place is outstanding. Shared the Icelandic menu and the fish menu in super quick time. The stand out dishes for me were the lamb, sheep dung trout, lamb chips, skyr and our personal Fav the 4 week stout aged blue cheese. Amazing quality and all in all amazing value given the price in an already very expensive market.

High quality food, everything was good. The 3 course daily meny was very good value for money. The place itself is very nicely decorated. A perfect last lunch in Reykjavik before heading to the airport. Easy parking in front.

Me and my dad went there for lunch. Since we're both Icelanders, the menu looked quite regular to us.
I had the fish of the day, a fried red fish, and he had the fish cakes. We really enjoyed, but the dish was a bit small for my opinion, so we went for a dessert too. I highly recommend with the "Kleina", a kind of tiny doughnuts in some caramel..delicious.
The price is quite high, but the food was class.
