We stayed in this house from 8 July 2014 until 18 July 2014. The house is situated within Victoria which consists of narrow streets which are very quaint and beautifully lit up with lovely street lights. There are lots of nice restaurants and cafes on your doorstep with the market and shops a stones throw away. We were lucky enough to be there when the locals were celebrating St George and managed to watch horse racing within the narrow streets!!! We watched brass bands and went to the town hall where there was a disco for the younsters. We enjoyed the beaches, went to the citadel and experienced the cells within the jail house there (the engravings in the plaster completed by the prisoners from the eighteenth centuary were fascinating). The house itself is very clean, has a beautiful old hallway, has a terrace which we greatly enjoyed (was brill to have your own outside space to relax) was near to the bus station and the beds were very comfortable. The only downside was the kettle which leaked (easily replaced) and we couldn't get the oven to ignite. Marion (the owner) very kindly on our arrival left us provisions (milk, juice, eggs, fruit, sweets etc) which were greatly appreciated. All in all, a very enjoyable stay, thank you very much.
