Terrible cruise and highly over-rated. The actual boat transfer to the Lagoon was pleasant enough when you manage to ignore the loud and boozy teenagers. The views of Malta and the blue lagoon are beautiful. However, the island is so crowded with people and boats that it is not worth the visit. The island is very rocky and walking with flip-flops, trying to find a spot to access a section of the beach that allows safe swimming is nearly impossible.

The island is supposed to be a protected environment. This is hard to believe with the amount of littering and the loud disco music from boats in the lagoon. The sea was surprisingly clean although full of jelly fish that made swimming for my family a short and unpleasant experience. Although no fault of the operator it added to an overall very negative experience.

This trip should never be offered by Captain Morgan or at the least either heavily regulated or come with large disclaimers - "not recommended for families". We regretted that we went and considered it a wasted day as it was our last in day Malta.

Worse tour I have ever take, not organised. Don’t go to Gozo, nothing to see, you will be able to barely eat something, they will give you short time for sight seeing, no guiding. Took us to a church for 10mins, church was closed, we didn’t even had the chance yo get in. They will try to sell you tours for caves, DON’T buy them, cause they are not organized and you most probably will wait like 45mins for the boat that will take you to caves (we asked for reimbursement after 15mins since they told us that we need to wait for another 20mins). DON’T CHOOSE CAPTAIN MORGAN TOURS, THEY ARE AWFUL...

The boat trip itself was pleasant although we have about a 15 min wait for our transfer, when we got to the boat port in silema we were sent to the wrong boat after queuing to get on that we were then told it was the wrong boat so then had to find the boat we are supposed to be on, as we were departing from silema there were plenty of seats when we got on board but we then waited another about 30 mins before the boat actually left we then made a stop in Buggiba where alot more people boarded then it was a little over crowded
There was a free bar but there was not free food only sandwiches that cost €2.
We got off in Gozo we had an old bus with no air con we drove around the island in about 2 hours we made 3 stops first was to a local produce shop for 10mins!!
Next was to a church for 15 mins!! then to the town centre for 45 mins!! which is not enough time to eat and look around then it was back to the bus to go to the boat
When we were on the boat they sold us a trip to the caves which was €15 so we decided to book it when we got off the boat the people going to the caves were told to go their boat we waited for about 10-15 mins no sign of our boat and no staff to let us know what was going on!!
Bearing in mind that we only had 50 mins by the time we got to the blue lagoon we went back to the staff to ask where the boat was they said it had taken the first group of people and we would be next it would be back in 15 mins for us we ahd already waits for 10 -15 mins at this stage so we got a refund from that as we would not of had any time left
The blue lagoon itself is very pretty but so overcrowded it's actually a joke
If I was to go again i would just get a boat trip to the blue lagoon and spend the day there or I would get a boat to gozo and hire a quad or scooter to explore do not do these combined boat trips

Got sollicited to do this trip while walking on beachfront in Sliema. 108 euros for the 4 of us (3 adults, 1 teen) seemed like a good deal but... I should have read other's reviews first.
The boat trip in itself was pleasant, but that was in part because we arrived at the boat about 45' before departure and were thus able to choose good seats - others weren't so lucky.
We had to stop for 10 minutes in Bugibba for more people to board on the boat.
Then we went to Gozo and the trip around the island was almost a joke... Old mould smelling bus, driver would give his instructions in a barely intelligible English (why don't they use pre-recorded explanations in clear English?). We had 3 stops: first two of 10 minutes at a handcraft store and at the Sanctuary of Pinu... ten minutes... ten... really?! We had barely time to enter and exit the store, let alone to buy anything. Then a 45' stop at Victoria. This is barely enough to grab a bite in the street, take a walk around the square and buy a couple of souvenirs.
We then proceeded to the port and boat again. We sailed to closeby Comino's Blue Lagoon. That was the cherry on the top (sarcasm here).
While the Blue Lagoon is undeniably beautiful in itself, it was victim of landscape murder. Contrary to what you see on postcards, what you'll find will be a massively overcrowded little coast (there were already 5 other boats anchored when arrived), full of barracks selling all kind of fast food, with loud music, a "beach" smaller than my living room, tons of trash lying around (despite trash cans, but it's a windy spot). Our worst beach experience ever... and by far.
When we booked we were also told that we would enjoy a light lunch and free all-you-can-drink beverages. While the part about the beverages was true, there was no buffet or anything. Only sandwiches that you could buy for 2€. Not expensive, but not free as announced.
Please, Maltese Ministry of Tourism: remove the barracks and strictly limit the number of people who go there. You are letting one of the most beautiful natural spots on Malta being destroyed for profit's sake.
All in all, an experience that I would almost prefer to forget if it wasn't for being with my family (that's always nice).
My advice: keep your hard earned money and spend it on a really nice dinner.
