Our morning transfer from the hotel was a joke. Told to meet at intercontinental at 9.00 only to find that there was no tour rep to let us know where the bus was. It arrived an hour late after calling the tour operator twice an being fobbed off by some half wit. Finally arrived at the boat spoke to one of the crew ( which happened to be the skipper) about the inconvenience in not having rep to relay info regarding the buses and the delay and he couldn’t care less.
The island was a disappointment due to severe overcrowding. No places to lay out due to the islands natural rocky Terrain unless you pay through the noise for a sun chair for 10mins. Disappointed to see lots of rubbish and broken glass and ridiculous load music. Crew were very rude an haven’t got a notion of what they are doing totally unprofessional sack everyone of them Suitable footwear is need if you stupidly decided to visit tongs/ flip flops are a definite no no. Tour ops of course don’t tell you any of this.. lunch was served as we were disembarking which totally stupid. The food itself I wouldn’t give to a dog a crappy bit of ham glamorized with a bit of withered lettuce washed down with piss water for beer. I hope this review is helpful to future visitors to Malta. Stay well clear of the this tour operator shower of idiots Boooooommmm Mike drop

30 degrees at 10am at the beginning of August - I caught the boat in St Paul's Bay and was transported over to Gozo, there was a very busy all inclusive bar on board and extremely over priced ice creams! Gozo was a coach trip to three stops - purposely laid on for the tourist - a local food producer (€1 to use the toilet which you got back if you bought something) a church (you had to hire a scarf to cover your shoulders) and then a market before heading back to the boat and being whisked off to the beautiful Blue Lagoon (my review for this has been submitted separately - it is beautiful but exploited for the tourist industry).
Back to St Paul's Bay for 4/4.30 - was an okay day for the price, not really suitable for those who are not very mobile nor young children. TIP - take water & snacks

A really nice trip, especially if you buy the all inclusive version drinks are available all the time on the boat and you get your lunch when you arrive at Comino.
The sail began at 11:00 starting in Buggiba, you go to Gozo to drop people off, then you go to Comino and arrive at about 12:30-12:45. You leave at 16:00 and at about 17:00 you are back in Buggiba.
Just be sure to take your stuff with you when you get off the boat, because the boat leaves for about 30 minutes to get people back from Gozo.
The Blue Lagoon is beautiful, but in high season it's so crowded it's unbelievable - you might have some trouble to find a place to leave your towel. That is the only disadvantage I think.
