we done the "best of Gozo and Comino tour". We paid extra for hotel pick up/return. To start with the pick up was 15mins late. On arrival at the harbour we reported to an agent to find out what boat we were on. After boarding we shortly set sail. Although the boat was large it felt very crowded - the top deck was full so we were seated inside the lower deck. It was uncomfortably hot with only a couple of the windows able to open. Although busy the bar service ran smoothly and efficiently. The onboard toilet facilities however were terrible - the ladies had 3 toilets - 2 of which the doors didn`t lock and didn`t have seast attached. they also looked dirty and smelled. Our first stop was Gozo which we were told our tour would last about 2 hours. after a little confusion and chaos we boarded a bus and off we went. Unfortunately there was no narration throughout so we were basically just being driven around. We made our first stop and were abruptly told 10 mins by the driver - not knowing where we were. After this short stop we were off again. Again at the next stop we were just curtly told 1.30. we all looked at each other and queried this with the driver just to be told back here 1.30. We realised we were in Victoria. after 45 mins we return to the pick up point ( at 1.25) where we then waited until 1.55 until the driver finally turned up. He then continued the journey at a very fast pace - I guess the driver was trying to make up time- a little too fast for my liking. we then arrived at a crafts place and were told to get out to look around - none of us really seemed to want to but did anyway. We then returned to the bus and proceeded toward the harbour where we boarded the boat and headed towards Comino and the Blue Lagoon. This was the best part of the whole tour) we stopped here for just over an hour before heading back to Sliema. Having done many boat trips on previous holidays I can say that this was by far the worst we have experienced.

We read the reviews for Captain Morgan cruises, really wanted to visit Comino and Gozo and thought, they can't be "that" bad?? Oh yes, oh yes they are.
Actual cruise was ok, very, very busy even for mid September, free Beer and just about palatable Wine but the toilets were a disgrace, the Women's in particular, stunk from the "off", if the seat wasn't broken the lock's were, totally unacceptable. Arrived at Gozo Port where we were shepherded onto a mini Bus, and then the 'fun' starts! No communication from the Driver as to where you were or where you were going for the entire 'tour' (I use this word it's it's looses sense) We were first dropped off at Ta Pinu Basillica for 10 WHOLE MINUTES, I only know this as I had to use Google maps! Off we went and before you know it we're stopping at a T-Junction and told to get back here for 1:30 (45 mins time!) Where are we? No idea, where we going? No idea. So we followed a group of people, checked Google Maps, oh we're in Victoria, though with just 45 mins not much time to explore the Citadel or have a drink or bite to eat. So we headed back to the T-Junction to be picked up, by now I would have been happy if we'd just headed back to the boat! So we waited for the Bus, and waited, and lo and behold, half an hour later he turns up,talk about taking the p**s!!
The Drivers obviously running behind time as he proceeded to drive at break neck speed back to the Port. (EDIT-I forgot he stopped at some speciality supermarket too for 10 minutes!) We boarded and were taken to the Blue Lagoon for 90 minutes which was welcome relief, then boarded and were back in Sliema for early evening.
I've done many boat trips on the Greek Islands and it's something we always look forward to but this was far away the worst trip i have EVER experienced!!

So excited to holiday in Malta and see all the lovely sites they have to offer...
We decided to book the Gozo, Comino and lagoon trip with Captain Morgan.
£35 each and drinks on the boat was included... sounds good we thought!
It was a rushed trip, no organisation, and a total waste of money and day!
Meant to set off at 10am, left at 11am, had to also stop on route to collect more passengers.
Arrived in Gozo and greeted by 3 or 4 coaches, no one was told what to do or where these coaches were taking us.
1st stop an expensive gift shop and 1euro for toilet. Then we were taken to the Church which no one was told how long we could stay for and that resulted in about 10 of us missing our coach to the final stop, so had to gate crash another coach standing up for the journey!
We then arrived at our final stop Victoria where there was shops and restaurants, this was at 1:40pm, the driver said back at 2hours or so we and others thought he said, so we decided to have a meal... then spotted the coach driving off, luckily we flagged it down and jumped on... That was our 30 minute trip to Gozo!
Back on the ferry to Comino/blue lagoon, if you want to see the Comino that’s at an extra cost which we didn’t do and glad as apparently it was rubbish. So ferry arrives at lagoon and we’re told to be back in 40 minutes... wow is that all, considering you have to walk quite a way and fight through 100’s of people this is a short time... so if we trek and what another waste of a trip as the lagoon was so busy you couldn’t even dip your toes in the Med!
Back to the ferry we go heading back to Sliema.
NEVER AGAIN

I traveled on the Captain Morgan Cruise from Valletta to the Blue Lagoon. I think it is great as long as you have reasonable expectations for an affordable (not luxury) cruise. The boat was clean and comfortable with groups of chairs together. You could stand on the fore deck or at the stern. The lunch was cold cuts salad and pasta. Simple but fine. All staff were very nice and I tipped on departure.
The lagoon was pretty and you got a view of Gozo from the water. There are food and drink vendors and lots of people in the lagoon. It was obviously a tourist destination so it isn't a private tour of a secret place! Plus when I remarked on the number of people one of the island vendors (locker rental!) said it wasn't that busy. Unfortunately there was a fair amount of trash. Snorkeling was fine but not much to see. Appreciated there were lifeguards that I did not expect.
The excursion by powerboat is expensive for its length but it is pretty cool to see the caves in the rocks.
We are sailors so we had considered spending much more money for a sailboat tour. I am SO relieved we did not as the water would have been way too choppy to enjoy and it would have been too long on the water. This type of boat is the way to go.
