It sounded a good deal: but we had the most stressful day of the holiday trying to make it worthwhile. The hop-on, hop-off idea is great but doesn't work. The only good thing is the open-top nature of the bus but this quickly palled in the cold wind. In effect you can only have two stops because you are worrying all the time about whether and when you'll get the next bus, and if there will be room on it. We did the South Tour and only managed two stops - left out the Blue Grotto in fear we'd miss the Mnadjra Temple complex otherwise. The last bus is advertised at 5pm and you daren't leave it too late - too risky.
A FAR better idea and one I would recommend (as does the reviewer Daniel Peterson) is to buy a 7-day local bus pass for 21 Euros. Far better value and easier - the buses run pretty regularly and carry on later into the night. I realised all this too late but would do it another time - that truly IS a 'hop-on, hop-off' experience. You can use the whole extensive bus system. The drivers are no grumpier than the 'sightseeing' ones, and are sometimes very helpful, and if each day only costs 3 euros, you are laughing.

We always do the hop on/off buses when traveling. The routes were nicely organised and it was clear as to what you were going to see. Like others have said it was confusing regarding where the bus stop was and what approximate time it would come by. Paul, who sold us the tickets, was really helpful over the 3 days we visited.

This trip guaranteed a seat, with a seat belt ear phones, with commentary for many languages. Driven well with many hop on hop off opportunities. A full day is required for the south tour. North is a different day! Rather over priced as local buses are as easily available.

The activity is made up of three different bus tours around the island. There is one with a ferry also. The idea is good but the practice is awful because you first of all lose a lot of time waiting for the and then it may be crowded. The last bus is at 17ish so you have to hurry. The headphones never work, took 2 tours and 6 or so different buses with hop on and hop off but only once did i manage to hear something through the head phones. Not to mention the "free cold water" that the driver never "had any" available.

The ferry ride is especially a hoax as you get a total of 5-6 hours of trip time to pick up "more clients" from different locations and actual tour is 1,5 hours. And they tell you to book in advance also. There is an open bar that is supposed to make the 3 hour trips less boring but the drinks are bad quality.

Basically you are better off just using PUBLIC TRANSPORT and a map with some landmarks that you would like to visit and have your own schedule. There is very little to no value added by the hop on buss rather than the open top experience of driving around on the top deck
