+ Top notch location - instant access to Sliema, Paceville and Valetta (via ferry); a really lively neighbourhood; amazing view of the marina and Valetta
+ Great size of the room & balcony, lots of space
+ Friendly and helpful staff, service was great at all times
+ Excellent breakfast

- Bathroom needs an overhaul
- A dedicated parking lot is not available, however the parking strip along the promenade in front of the hotel can be used free of charge, provided that you can find a spot.

Room Tip: Book a room with a view towards the marina. Enjoy the in-house breakfast on the last floor instead of eating outside.

My wife and I stayed at the Marina in 2015 and returned this year as its location and size really suits us. The staff are all friendly and efficient. We had a Superior Double Room with sea view and would recommend this as the views of the bay and Valletta are stunning. The breakfast is good, again with views, and there is a rooftop terrace with a jacuzzi. Surprisingly this is not widely used despite being blessed with the same views. The hotel suits us as it is quiet and seems to attract more mature people rather than young. It is not really the type if place for families with young chidren.

Just back after staying a week in the hotel. Its a basic hotel, but in a great location. Buses, Taxi's and Ferries just outside the front door. The view from the 8th floor is excellent. Breakfast was average, room was small but clean. Staff were polite and friendly. For its position, it was nice and quiet at nighttime.

Just back from a week staying in The Sliema Marina Hotel. This was our third visit to Malta but our first visit to the Marina. Great location, first class staff, and you couldn't fault the breakfast. Should be rated 4 star. Surprisingly quiet at night considering it's location. Sea view balcony a must, gives you the best view of Valletta. Will go back again and again and again.

Room Tip: Balcony rooms cost more but well worth it for the views.

I have visited Malta before and chose this hotel due to the location. I really wanted to like the rooms but for me it was very bland and basic. The rooms need some life brought into them. I have to say though the location you can't beat it. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance as well as getting tours or taking the ferry to Valletta for the day are one right after the other... The staff was very friendly and polite. If you stay at the hotel they do offer a 10 percent discount on the food at their restaurant. The view on the 8th floor is to die for... So make sure you stop up there even if you don't eat breakfast. Overall it was great for the money just needs a little love.
