Description: This caffe , bar, restaurant has the most magnificent view in whole Malta Island!! It stays exactly in upper barracca gardens and face on three cities and sea view. at 12 everyday there is a saluting battery, if you are staying in caffeteria with a cup of coffe or any soft drink you can see it without standing up from ypur chair. lunch time its pleasure to have a plate of pasta or local traditional grilled fish lampuka, or a plate of raviolli with local goat cheese. There is a choice of different kind of pizzas for the pizza lovers. So i think for everyone who comes in Malta and of course going to visit its capital Valletta its the best place to have a rest for a drink or to have a lunch in amazing atmosphere and magnificent view on the grand harbour, 3 cities and non ending sea with always light blue horizont! You hve to add it in your list because who still didnt visit this place lost a lot pleasure during their trip on this beutiful Island in the middle of mediterrania. best regards!

“Great Views”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 October 2011

The views are what this place is all about. Have a drink and just sit and watch it all happen around you in front and below no matter what time of day.
If you eat then hopefully you choose a better day then we did as it was the worst we had during our stay.

“View and setting fantastic, food disgusting”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 October 2011

Lovely setting. Service was good. Views amazing. Food horrid. I had a Maltese pasta which was over cooked, reheated with a new sauce of unflavoured tin of tomatoes poured over to "perk" it up. Other members of the party had similarly reheated food, either under cooked or with the same raw tinned tomato and masses of cheese to disguise.

“Lovely view but over-priced wine!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 August 2011

Had a good meal here, the food was not amazing, but perfectly adequate and tasty. The view and surroundings really makes the place and the staff were very helpful. The biggest let down for me was the price of the wine, even the Maltese wine was really over priced. We ate in restaurants with better food and with exactly the same wine on offer that was nearly half the price. If you don't drink wine then this doesn't really matter but it was a shame because it felt like a rip off. We felt this place is perhaps better for lunches, snacks and pizzas rather than dinners.

“One of the World's finest views”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 June 2011

Just spent a very pleasant long weekend in Malta and sat out the hot, sunny afternoons with a few pints of Hopleaf watching the shipping come and go in the Grand Harbour from the Cafe Deux Baronnes.

I've seen a few of World's finest views and, for me, the view of Grand Harbour from the Cafe Deux Baronnes and the Uppper Barracca Gardens next door is up their with the best. On Monday, I sawnot one but two cruise liners leave Valetta - not a sight I will soon forget.

Go and see for yourself.
