Review of Old Bridge
3.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed May 14, 2017via mobile
I stayed here in 2005. IT was à good venue to explore Cyprus. At that time iT was already out-of-date. However the food was good And there was à Nice swimming pool. There is à short walk to the boulevard where there à Nice restaurants.

Stayed here in 2005 on my honeymoon, excellent hotel would stay there again. There was a car rally kjust outside our hotel which was good to see.We found it expensive to buy or eat in Cyprus the Cyprus pound was not worth much back then.

I have stayed with a spouse in Old Bridge hotel back in September. Albeit located quite far away from the sea, it offered just enough services for a two star hotel. The food was okay - two kinds of jouices, salads, eggs etc - all cooked and fresh. The rooms were cozy and had just right protection from the sun. Personnel was friendly, we were allowed to have our rooms earlier and to leave later that normal. Some facilities need rennovation. Overall, we had a good stay there.

What an awful hotel. The food was terrible, raw meat and not much choice. Never a sunbed available, the staff were exceedingly rude. The room was very small and basic. The whole operation needs a complete overhaul, from the buliding and decor to the staff and the food. They should knock it down anf start again!
Seriously, a really bad place to stay.

I have never stayed in a hotel that would come anywhere near the decay, dirt and apathy displayed in this place.

When we arrived , we found that the bedclothes had not been changed from the previous guests and we had to sleep in chairs. The internal decoration had bot been attended to probably since the place was built, the furniture was breaking apart , the standard of cleanliness was very poor, the corridors were not dusted, the food was akin to school dinner standard, curtains had not received attention for years. windows had not been washed for very long time, the car park had not been brushed of litter etc

There was a strange practice pertaining whereby breakfast was advertised as being available fro 0700 to 0930. On our first morning we started breakfast at 0925 only to find that everything was cleared on the stroke of 0930. Seemilgly 0930 to them means that dishes, guests etc must all be gone by 0930.

The ambience of the hotel was dreary and uninviting, Staff seemed to do their best in the dreadful condidtions biut they were obviously restrained by the lack of interest/care shown by ther managers/owners.

Our stay in the Old Bridge was probably the worst which we have experienced. The place is a health and industrial hazard, unfit to be classified as a hotel.

To anyone whoc considers staying in the "refuge," may I recommend the local penitentary as I am sure that it is more inviting than the Old Bridge.

The hotel room was very shabby. The curtains were moth eaten. When we arrived there were ants all over the room so I asked to be moved. They spread some white powder around the room instead which was a bit strange. The ants were gone however when we got back to the room that evening. Room was cleaned regularly and all the staff were very nice.
