The Design hotel is an experience in itself, and really enhances and makes the best of the beautiful scenery. The balcony was very quiet with a lovely sea view and the décor is also beautiful. The hotel has an interesting and inspiring art aesthetic, which in my opinion is very suited to Paphos and captures a pleasant and friendly sense of community but is also very quiet and peaceful. The archaeological park is within walking distance. I would have been glad to have had another whole day or two.

We are flattered by your charming ways to describe us, you really do get us!

I am super happy to hear that you enjoyed your first, but hopefully not the last visit with us.

Thank you so much for this review and we look forward to welcoming you again for business, pleasure or a bit of both!

Warmest regards,
Stelios Moustakis

I stayed for 2 nights in the Almyra. Its a gorgeous hotel with a breathtaking marble lobby that runs horizontal to the sea view outside.

Staff were attentive and always friendly. The two pools meant that kids/families had their own space, with a quieter area for the childless.

The location is great, apart from being right on shore it is also right in the middle of the town with restaurants and shops across the street and the harbourside only 5-10mins walk away.

Also the wifi coverage was excellent! Apart from having full coverage out in the huge back garden area I also had coverage in the restaurant across the street. I was impressed.

Only very minor negatives -- the room I was given was very close to the lobby which was noisy because of all the marble. So it was hard to sleep on the Saturday night. And the breakfast is only served until 10am, if you're arriving to Cyprus with a time difference it can be hard to get up that early. 7-11 would have been nice. Minor quibbles.

Room Tip: Avoid room 201. Its right beside the lobby and can be very noisy at night.

We are happy to hear that you enjoyed your time with us (especially our breathtaking and incomparable views!).

It is great to know what a positive impression our staff made on you and with regards to the location, well, we are truly blessed with a prime one and there is no shortage of activities, history and culture in Paphos area either.

We apologize that your accommodation experience was not what you hoped for and I would agree that room 201 is arguably the noisiest room in the hotel. I am personally always pleased to be of assistance if our room availability allows me to find a better alternative for you, so next time please feel free to reach out to me directly for any accommodation issues. We are also more than happy to serve complimentary continental breakfast in your room past the restaurant opening hours.

Thank you again for your feedback and next time we welcome you back, we hope you will be pleasantly surprised.

Best regards,
Stelios Moustakis

Room Tip: Worth paying for a sea view room or ask for room without trees in front of windows

Visiting at a busy time of year the hotel (and pool / buffet) was inevitably full of small people (mainly Brits) and the noise, mess and sunbed grabbing that goes along with this group. Our children are now senior school age so we were in a minority. Now would not be the time to come for a quiet couples holiday.
This said the hotel had very good staff apart from one or two minor exceptions, the food was excellent in both Notios and the seafront restaurant and the buffet was pretty good most evenings. We also tried the sushi restaurant which was great. There is a lot of Japanese food available at hotel - which we love so this was a big plus.
Rooms are minimalist white with dark furniture. Some bright artwork would be good IMO but just my view. Beds were comfortable and everything clean and tidy. A walk in shower would be better than the small bath and shower curtain.
We visited the archeological park - well worth the visit - but kept to the hotel the rest of the time. Paphos itself is not the prettiest place but feels safe and friendly when out and about. Overall a very good place for a family holiday, especially if your children are small.

Thank you for taking the time to write this review and for sharing your valuable feedback.

You are correct that your visit was during a very family oriented time, the demographics here change a lot depending on the season.

We are very pleased that you had an overall enjoyable stay and hope to serve you again in the future.
