We arrived at the hotel on the hottest June day since records began, and when shown to our room relished in the ice cold air con. The suite was very basic, with little furniture. The bedroom large and airy with a fabulous en suite with walk in shower and bath. The extra bed in the lounge area was disappointingly a put you up bed, not a sofa bed as expected, and for a 6 ft 18 year old an uncomfortable sleeping set up. Sliding doors opened up to a patio which overlooked the pool and the most Amazing View of the sea and Paphos harbour.
The grounds are clean and well kept, and the pool despite being smaller than some, perfectly big enough for the guests.
Plenty of sun beds and parasols, and no silly towel games required.
The breakfast was good, plenty of choice, and the pool bar does great food, huge portions, for a reasonable price.
Paphos tourist area started at the hotel, and in 20 minutes you were right in the harbour area with huge volumes of restaurants and bars to suit all tastes.
The beach was small, and typical of Paphos beaches....don't expect sand as far as you can se, move rocky coves, with a little sand, a seaweed barrier and then the cool calm waters of the med.
All in all, a great place...but don't expect luxury, this is a good solid tourist hotel with no airs and graces.

The hotel is well maintained, rooms are in good size and very clean.
There is an outside pool which is not huge, but we never felt like it's crowded.
There is also an indoor pool which was totally empty all the time.
The beach is 30m from the pool, but the whole area has a very rocky beach strap and sew weeds all over, might be nice to dive...

The only very annoying thing we have experienced is that they have a really weird pool-towel policy:
You get a voucher for the pool towels for each person that you have to get back before checkout to avoid charge (so far so good, they want to prevent stealing and losing towels)
but the problem was that they are only allowing you to change it for a fresh one every 2 days, and they are very strict about it!
It is very upsetting as that most of our time we have spent by the pool!

After insisting they have swapped it, but WTF? what is the problem change one-for-one if a guest asks for?!

For every issue we talked to their office manager, Thomas, which always solved it to our satisfaction, it just a shame it had to get that far...

Room Tip: ask for the middle floor, room numbers X2Y (the middle number matters) as it has easy access and a s...

Superb, quiet, modern room with great views to sea and beyond. Great breakfast, so much choice and the staff were very helpful. Location is good as a little removed from town but within easy walking distance along the beach side pathway. The property was well maintained and facilities were excellent. The little beach is just across the pathway which is nice for a quick dip but if you want a larger sandy beach it's just an easy walk away for more choice.

Room Tip: top floor rooms

The hotel is in a great location a short walk from the town centre. The staff were all very polite, attentive and helpful. The choice of food at breakfast was varied and nicely presented. The pool area and adjoining grounds was spacious and well maintained. If you want to stay at a more expensive hotel, where there is less than 1 metre between the sunbeds, then you should book somewhere else. Otherwise - stay here !

We stayed here for a week in June in a first floor suite with a pool and sea view. The room was modern and very clean. We were impressed with the housekeeping everyday. The room surprised us with a fridge and a free to use safety deposit box. The en-suite was of a good standard and offered complimentary toiletries. The breakfast was a buffet style with a very good selection. The staff were very friendly and tentative - they couldn't do enough for us. We were concerned about the works to the promenade mentioned in other reviews but on arrival although there was evidence of the works there were none currently ongoing outside the hotel during our stay, however they don't appear to have been completed. The outside pool area was very spacious allowing for you to have your own space. Overall a great hotel and a great holiday. Will definitely stay at this hotel again. PS wifi was brilliant. Any other comments on the wifi were people being overly fussy.

With first impressions being so important, this is unfortunately where we felt most let down by Amphora.
We had organised a taxi through the hotel, but nobody was there to pick us up at the airport. When we mentioned this upon arrival, the issue was very much glazed over by the gentleman checking us in. This was further frustrated by the lack of 'check in' that we got - nothing was really explained to us, so our first day was down to us finding everything (not a massive issue, but a nice welcome is always appreciated)

Our room was excellent - the distance to the pool/beach was great, with glorious views of the sunset. Our room was made up and cleaned daily - there is also a night check to see if you need anything (tip - put on the do not disturb if you're after a pre-dinner nap).

The only other observations are that I feel that towel process is a bit regimented(you're only allowed a clean towel every second day - and they check!!).

The breakfast is to a good standard - plenty of hot choices/fresh pastries/fruit etc. The breakfast room is quite small, and can get pretty warm HOWEVER; if you're lucky enough to get one of the 6 balcony tables, then you're in for a treat!!

We would definitely return!
