Stayed at Princessa Vera hotel for 5 nights over new year. We are frequent visitors to Paphos& had walked past this Hotel numerous times. When it came up at a great price we decided to book & was so glad we did. We had a standard room which was tastefully decorated & spotless clean. If the standard is this good I would imagine the superior is fabulous. We was given a pool view & part sea view room which was great. Everything in the room & bathroom was clean, modern & fresh. Maid service was every day, clean towels left daily also. The hotel served up a more than adequate breakfast, plenty to choose from, we are sure that all tastes are catered for. Harry's bar was great with reasonably priced drinks including cocktails. Staff were friendly & helpful. We liked it qso much that we have booked to stay here for our main summer holiday. Thanks Princessa Vera. See you in August.

Paid for a large studio, were given a small room. Questioned this at reception to which the woman I spoke to was very rude, confrontational and didn't seem to care, after repeatedly mentioned the room we have isn't the one we paid for numerous times and more of the same argumentative attitude without getting anywhere we gave up and headed back to the room. No free wifi, only in lobby. Went down to speak to same woman to ask about the wifi and were told it was 50 Euro for the week. After a few days etc found out it was 15 Euro for one device. Also after halfway through we called reception to ask about a laundry service that is mentioned on the website and jet2.... again met with a response of no from reception. Ordered a taxi to the harbour, cost 15 Euro (was the first time we went in a taxi etc and also the journey to the harbour is less than 3 mins ) get taxis along at the mall cost there seems to be 8 - 10 Euro. Never ate at the hotel, had a drink at Harley's bar which was ok, cheap cocktails between 9-11pm. But must say was very disappointed with the hotel. From the start it put a rubbish taste in the mouth and as the days followed that never changed. Won't stay here again or say anything good about the hotel to others.

I spend 12 days at the hotel and I found no major problem. Nice interior, small and comforting so a nice change compared to large hotels. I did find the staff very average and more attentive towards the Russian guests than the British. The staff in the hotel bar Harley’s were fantastic. The hotel staff did not say hello or good morning the whole time. Breakfast was your standard buffet breakfast and the dinners were sometimes very limited and not to my taste. There were a few nights with a great dinner. Rooms were clean, modern and airy. The air conditioning was good too. The tv needed more channels and more English speaking channels. There are 2 wifi connections, public and paid. The public was good for the bar and reception but the paid is ridiculous. €15 per week. PER DEVICE! For €15 I would expect to be able to use it on more than one device. The hotel is in a good location depending on time of year. Overall, a pleasant stay and good value for what I paid.

We have just arrived back from a week's stay at the Princessa Vera and overall enjoyed our stay.

Pros for the hotel:
●Fantastic location on the main strip and the coastal walk down to the main harbour. Nice bakery just a few doors down from hotel
●Clean in reception, dining room and pool areas
●Great cocktail bar serving lovely mojitos and friendly bar staff
●We went half board. Good choice for breakfast(continental, toast, fruit, bacon, eggs etc) and evening meal (choice of three hot main, vegetables, potatoes, salad and soup, 3 dessert options)
●We missed our evening meal on the first night and were honored with a voucher for lunch - we ordered spring rolls, pork souvlakki and chocolate cake - best meal of the holiday
●Bedroom modern, clean, ample storage space, beds comfortable, TV, hairdryer, bathroom good size and lots of hot water, kettle, crockery, microwave, fridge
●Great cleaning service for bedroom. Towels changed regularly, beds made
●Check out nice and late 12pm
●Place to store luggage while waiting for flight
●Reception staff friendly and helpful.

Cons:
●Rude young waitress who kept trying to get us to sit inside when we were having our evening meal. We like to sit outside when we are on holiday and enjoy the sunshine and warmth as we get very little of it in the UK. We witnessed her pestering other patrons while we were there. She had her hair down most of the time near the food and was not wearing a name tag or uniform like the other staff
●People smoking by the pool. I would recommend having a zone or section away from other patrons who don't like to be smoked on
●Free WiFi only available in the reception or bar areas. Other hotels we've stayed at don't charge for WiFi
●If you are put on the front of the hotel you will need earplugs on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday nights if you like to go to bed early. There are a couple of bars that do karaoke either side of the hotel so you will need them. I can imagine this will be louder and later nights in summer when the resort is busy
●Balcony facing the strip. Didn't use our balcony as too noisy from the traffic.

Didn't use the pools or the gym area so can't comment but both looked adequate.

Would consider staying here again if we come back to Paphos.
