We spent a very relaxing couple of weeks here in September 2015, more or less having the pool to ourselves most days. The accommodation was clean and modern, and the brother and sister owning it were friendly and approachable. I had already booked through Booking.com for 2016 before we went and were pleased we had as most people seemed to be repeat bookers. We were asked at the hotel to cancel our existing booking and book directly through the hotel. As they had been so kind towards us, we agreed. Last week I decided to email the hotel to advise of our arrival time. An automated response said they would respond asap. Hearing nothing for several days, I rang the hotel only to be told the hotel was not opening in 2016. No explanation was available and no reason was available as to why we were not informed. So with 13 days to our departure with flights booked and paid for last year, we were left with nowhere to stay and running around trying to find similar accommodation. Thankfully we did find somewhere but we are now alert to the dangers of booking direct.

we stayed in the 3-bedroom villa and there was a big problem with mosquitoes..they charged us an extra amount for the use of the air-condition (6 euros per unit per day)..also, they charged us extra because we reserved the villa for 4 people and for the last two days another two people joined us to sleep in the empty third bedroom (10 euros per day per person)..the owners were very rude with no reason..not willing to help..all the residents had problem with their behavior...they don't have facilities for people with disabilities..i will not stay there again... only positives: wifi and big rooms

It sucks. The manager shout to kids for playing with their ball in the swimming pool. He is talking very horrible to customers. I saw manager shout very loud to a women. It is not allowed bring anyone else in the hotel. In the bar they haven't food to buy, only juice and water. You have to pay for every aircondition everyday for 6 euros. The hotel is very quite, it is not for families and the children are bored. It was our first and last time we went there.

A very beautiful location which offers some outstanding breath taking views. The hotel and apartment rooms are quite spacious, very clean and have all the amenities for self catering, the journey from the airport is almost an hour taxi ride and if you prebook with Suntransfers on line its around 110.00 euros return which i believe is quite reasonable.
The manager " Andreas " is a perfect host and will always engage in conversation. The advise i would give to anybody considering booking this hotel , is that you should seriously consider hiring a car. We did experience a storm one day and the rain leaked through our roof onto the floor making quite a mess and hazardous conditions, but the owners we were not really interested ! My wife actually slipped and hurt herself.
The two closes villages are Polis and Latchi , Polis is a 10-15 minute walk and Latchi almost half an hour, there is a bus service which is only 1.5 Euros each way and a taxi will cost you 8.00 Euros. Both villages are fantastic and quite different , Polis is like a very small town with plenty of really lovely restaurants which for fish lovers is excellent. If it takes your fancy you can get a seriously full english breakfast for 4.5 Euros and a large freshly squeezed orange juice for 1.00, if sport is your thing your will find large screens and plenty of football in the centre of Polis, but if its not your thing, you can certainly avoid it.. and still enjoy local life.
The beach is just a 10 minute walk from the centre of Polis with a beach cafe for food and drinks.
Latchi is completely different, Its a very small village on the Sea front with a large harbour and many restaurants overlooking the harbour, a great trip to enjoy a meal overlooking the harbour. Would i visit again , maybe to the resort , but not to this Hotel , only due to its actual location, plus there is considerable dog barking noise at all hours which can be annoying to some...

Room Tip: Book a pool view room , the views are spectacular views, i will add some pictures soon taken from our terrace...

This is our first time staying at the Chrysafina, from my first interaction with them they were nothing but lovely. Andreas waited up for us as we had told him we would be there late, he took time to explain the hotel and facilities to us. The rest of the week was excellent, both Andreas and his sister Katerina could not do enough for you. As a seasoned traveller to Cyprus I can say this is one of the best places we have stayed, yes it is basic but it is clean. I would say that you are better off with a car, as you can see from the pictures it is a little way from the town and it is up a hill.
We will definitely be returning here.
