We loved this place! We got a superior room with a balcony, and it was so very Austrian in every detail. A large room with decorative wooden accents. Beautiful flowers cascading from the window boxes. A view of the sunset over a mountain. A gourmet breakfast buffet (bakery pastries, breads, cheeses, cold cuts, fresh fruits, cereals, yogurt, so many fresh choices) Eggs are made to order and coffee or tea is served to you at linen covered tables. It is only a five minute walk to the bus stop and the bus to the city center runs every 15 minutes or so. One needs to check in the first night before a certain time but I don't remember what time that is, maybe 9 p.m. But on following nights, you can come in at any time as you will have access to the building. Family run business which is both efficient and friendly. It is an excellent value.

I had a very nice four day stay here in October. Quaint b@b about 1.5 miles out of town. The bus stop is right out front, so it's easy to get to the center of Salzburg. I highly recommend eating dinner here also, the food is delicious. I learned to always ask for the special of the day!

This is a beautiful alpine hotel with views that are spectacular even in the rain - and it rained all the time we were there unfortunately. However, that did not keep us from enjoying Salzburg and the Bloberger Hof. The same family has operated the hotel for a couple centuries so they know what they're doing. Our room was clean, the beds rustic and comfortable, and the space was perfect. The toilet room is separate from the shower room. Both have sinks. We had a balcony from which to see most of the valley.
It is a little way out of the town proper, but discount bus tickets are available at the front desk. The family/staff are extremely friendly and helpful. They gave us help when we needed and advice for our trip into town. The restaurant is extremely good.
There was a lot of construction going on in the new part of town, and some restoration in the old part. We liked what we saw. Salzburg is improving and growing.
This is the place to stay while experiencing Salzburg and the Inn River Valley.

Just what you'd expect a lovely country house in Tirol to look like! The mother and daughter proprietors were always there and always ready to help. It is located where it is very easy (we had a car) to get into town -- which we did multiple times during our four-night stay. But at the same time you feel as though you are out in the country. The breakfasts, including eggs made to order, in their charming dining room were really great. My only complaint is that we had to pay 3 Euros for instant coffee packets to go with the hot water kettle in the room. However, still very well worth five stars.

My wife and I spent 4 days at the Bloberger Hof Hotel in early September. It's in the suburbs, but it offered free parking for our rental car, and it was on a bus line (a 2-minute walk to the bus stop, and a short 15-minute bus ride to downtown). The hotel was spotless, and looked like it was just recently constructed (actually, we think it was last rehabbed back in the '90s). The building materials and craftsmanship were first-rate (e.g., beautifully-designed wood ceilings in the restaurant, and very handsome and sturdy light-oak furniture and trim in the rooms). Rooms were very comfortable and spacious. The bathroom was enormous by European standards, and very well-appointed. Also, the private porch was a nice touch. The on-site restaurant served excellent breakfasts (included in the room cost) and dinners (extra). For breakfast, they cooked your eggs to order, plus there was a wide selection of tasty meats, cheeses, breads, fruit, vegetables, cereals, coffee and juices. Service was prompt, friendly and excellent. We would definitely stay there again!
