My husband and I stayed here for 1 night on our way to Salzburg for a long Easter weekend. We wished we had booked more than 1 night! You can´t beat the location, right in the middle of town on the main pedestrian road. We came by car and wondered how easy it would be to park given that the hotel is on a pedestrian street, but as soon as we arrived someone from the hotel was outside directing us on where to leave the car and afterwards they valet parked for us nearby.
We booked a standard room which was very spacious and very well designed. My only slightly negative comment is that given the standard to which the rest of the hotel and room is done, it would have been nice to have a separate walk-in shower rather than just a shower head in the bathtub. The bathroom was spacious enough with 2 sinks, but seemed more outdated compared to the rest of the room.
I have nothing but the best things to say about the restaurant. We had originally planned to eat outside of the hotel, but due to bad weather we decided at the last minute to eat at the hotel. So glad that we did! For the starter we both had the Mixed Turnip Salad with Fresh Goat Cheese / Blueberries / Walnut / Wild Herbs. I wish I had taken a picture. It looked beautiful and tasted amazing. Honestly the best salad I´ve ever tried! The mains and desserts were also great as was the Austrian white wine. The breakfast the next morning was also great with some really nice cheeses and breads. The atmosphere in the restaurant and breakfast room were great. Traditional wooden chalet style, but with a modern and clean feel.
The spa with hot tub and sauna also looked really nice, unfortunately we didn´t have time to enjoy. Hopefully next time!More
