Description: Cafe Diglas, one of the classic traditional Viennese coffee houses in a very central location. Open 365 days a year for its guests, 8 clock early to 22:30. Here you can start your day with a wonderful selection of breakfast offerings, reading newspaper croissants, enjoying fresh out of the oven. And at noon we will drive with 5 different, again created daily menus. We inspire hearty Viennese cuisine with new variations. For dessert, there's then, as befits a true pastry Temple, the famous stake. But apricot dumplings and plum dumplings, each have a seasonal permanent place on our map. The snack is a separate issue, take one look at the display case filled with all the delicacies that are baked fresh every day her grandmother's recipes. The real Diglas guest know that you should not be late, because at delivery the souffles are lukewarm and not yet eaten the coveted banana slices. At 19 h leads the pianist the evening. We show you how you can end the stressful city life gently with a glass of wine. A fluffy pancake-Diglas

This was a nice caffe house away from the luxurious center, still with local atmosphere and local people. Apple strudel was fantastic! If you are at the surroundings, it is worth visiting, if not, well.... there are so many places !!!

Stopped for a morning coffee when it was raining hard. Saw all the lovely cakes and deserts and couldn't resist. Had to have strudel in Vienna. Wow it was absolutely divine. Came with lots of real whipped cream. Can still taste it now. Opposite our table was a tv showing them making all their different cakes. They really know how to make lovely things. You must give a try when in Vienna. One strange thing they do however is to put Reserved signs on all the unoccupied tables. But wait for a waiter to catch your eye and they will immediately offer you a table taking the Reserved sign away.

Found this gem by accident; warm, friendly welcome (not always the case) with 3 rooms and delicious patisserie. Recommend it highly!

Not a pretensious place where we landed without reservation. We were early birds at 8 pm and didn't value the fact that we were imediatly seat. It was with surprise that during dinner it came fully occupied. The reason was soon to be discovered: the best veal carpaccio we had in all our lifes and surprising main dishes , home cooking without a touch of richness that sometimes makes expensive restaurants. Very good value for money, where an additional smile would makes us portuguese people to feel at home!

A delightful cafe (in two locations!) - we went in for an afternoon glass of wine and dessert. We were not disappointed - the warm cheesecake strudel was heavenly. I would go everyday if I could. A warm atmosphere, attentive wait staff who show a pride in their cafe. And that strudel with vanilla sauce. oh my! Would go back!
