Review of Restaurant Sokace

Restaurant Sokace
Ranked #900 of 4,768 Restaurants in Vienna
Certificate of Excellence
Cuisines: Barbecue, Croatian, Slovenian
Description: In a pleasent, almost family setting, and served by our friendly staff, you will experience a dash of an old Serbian tavern and a taste of traditional Serbian cuisine. Why not treat yourself with unforgettable tastes and scents of charcoal's grill finest, Serbian bean stew or stuffed cabbage (a.k.a Sarma) and quench your thirst with domestic schnapps (a.k.a Rakija) or a variaty of wine and beer.

We could not have asked for a better first meal in Vienna. We had walked into this place given it's proximity to the nearby courtyard Marriott and basis trip advisor reviews. We were not disappointed. The food was tasty ..the portions were plentiful ..the price was reasonable and the staff quite courteous. I would particularly recommend their all you can eat buffet.
Best first meal in a city.

We visited this restaurant on our arrival in Vienna as we were staying nearby. There is plenty of choice on the menu & the staff were very attentive. On our arrival we were welcomed & given the choice of table as it was very quiet however as the evening progressed more locals came in & gave the impression of being very popular with them. It has a separate smoking section (smoking inside is allowed in some places in Austria) which is divided by sliding doors . If back in the area I would visit this place again.

Great and affordable comfort Balkans food. If you are looking for checapcici and pljeskavica fix look no further. Friendly personnel. Well worth a visit.

With my friend we visited that restaurant on Sunday evening. Thet have jenu in Serbian, German and English. The choice us typical for the Balkan restaurant - big variety of meet in big portions and Sopska Salad. The food was very good as well as service and on top that everything for very reasonable price. Good place for lunch ir dinner when you want to eat something simple and tasty.

We came to Sokace on Sunday after visiting Schonbrunn palace and it turned out that there's a Sunday lunchtime offer - all you can eat buffet (no drinks included) for EUR 7.50 per person. We decided to try it - selection of food was quite good: two soups, three kinds of grilled meat (chicken, pork, minced meat sausages), grilled vegetables, fresh vegetables, fried potates, baklava for dessert. We ordered Radler for drink. We liked the food, especially grilled meats and grilled vegetables. Good value for your money.
