I found that the youth Hostel Haraldsheim was a very pleasant place to stay for a weekend. Even that we only arrived late in the evening and there was no more warm water(it was winter in Norway) did not bother me alot because the service was great!!
At the reception the guy could speak at least 4 languages fluently... he gave us a lot of information about getting around Oslo.
My only negative point is the distance to the city centre, but i suppose in summer there are enough activitys on the sport places around the hostel.
