Great location, nice rooms, good service, great food. Had breakfast for an hour every day. Someone should have fired the person responsible for the only-partially-opaque glass bathroom doors, though. Privacy is so last year...

Basics work well plus you have free coffee. The room is a bit small for two. The room layout makes it worse.
The sofas in the lobby and many seats in the cafe were in need of a vacuum or a nice wash (visible strands of hair and big black marks). I wanted to iron my shirt in the evening and was directed to the area but the plug didn't work. When I looked closely, I saw a mark that comes when you have a spark. The carpet in the room was also dirty. Overall I was not impressed by the cleanliness and maintenance.

The staff at reception was very polite and helpful (check-in checkout was excellent) but they did not know where to look for information that we needed. This was the only hotel where I carried the towels up :) The coffee machine malfunctioned each time I went there. They were trying their best though, unlike the staff at the cafe. Best will be to avoid the cafe, unless you want to eat sitting on a shabby seat and are happy to eat below average food served by disinterested staff.

The location is good. Room is perfect for a single guest and there are quite a few restaurants just a block away (We tried Jadab and the Thai restaurant closeby on day 1 and 'to rom og kjøkken' on the second). I paid a 1000 kroners for a night for a double room but next time, I would like to pay 1300 and explore nearby alternatives.

I stayed for two nights and enjoyed it very much. Beds were comfy, breakfast was delicious - especially the Norwegian specialty brunost! The staff were helpful and asked any questions I might have. Trondheim has a very good bus-transfer-system to and from the airport and a bus stop is just a few metres away from the hotel.

I stayed two nights in a row at this hotel, in a week-end. The prize was best in Trondheim, booking a couple of months in advance on internet. The location is very good, around 5 minutes’ walk to the railway station. The staff told about free coffee and tea, when checking in. There is a big open space in the hotel lounge, and the breakfast area which is placed next to the lounge. In the breakfast area, one has a restaurant with tasty food the rest of the day. The room on second floor was quite big, as was the bathroom. The view outside was of a small street and older houses of wood, with a larger building of concrete behind these houses. In the evening, one could see the sunshine on the larger building. The spotlight in the room was placed for reading at the table, where I also want to have it. The sleeping quality was very good. The breakfast was better than average. Checking in and out worked easily. This hotel is the best of the four I have visited in Trondheim, so far. The only remark was that I heard a businessman who wanted a new room after checking in, because his room has not been cleaned up. Thus, something has gone wrong in the routines in his case.
