Just checked out after a one night stay. We purchased a Travel Zoo dinner, bed and breakfast deal that was amazing value. We then upgraded (superior room 19) for an additional £20. The room was generous and well furnished with a large comfortable bed and a good sized walk in shower in the ensuite. The service and food were very good. There were only 2 things that we thought needed to be improved: the rooms, corridors and restaurant were uncomfortably warm (in a mild November) and the walls needed stripping back and resurfacing - they have all been patched up and over painted and look rather scruffy, letting down the otherwise good furnishings, etc. The location was good as we arrived by train and it was only around 10 minutes walk away, and also a short walk to the seafront.

It is people who make life good! The staff here go to extraordinary lengths to make guests comfortable added to this they have a great Chef who serves really tasty meals.Rooms are large and spotlessly clean as is all of the hotel, definitely going back!!(being picky better loo roll please!) Good for going walking up on Beachy Head but unfortunately theatre closed for refurb.

We booked a 2 night break through Travelzoo and were very impressed at this well run hotel. The room was very clean and spacious and we enjoyed the little extras - hot chocolate and bottles of water in the room. Dinner was included on the first night and the quality was excellent, as was the service. Breakfast was also good, lots of choice including smoked fish which my husband enjoyed. It was our first time in Eastbourne and found that the hotel was an easy walk from the station to the hotel and then only a few minutes from the seafront.
