For the price was as expected. Initial greeting left a lot to be desired. Ok we were 10 minutes early and this was pointed out to us with a request to come back in 20 minutes. An offer of a cup of tea whilst waiting for the room would have been nice after the travelling. The room was ok although the shower made a racket and when you put the cold tap on it switched off the hot tap. It shook that much the hot tap fell off at one point. Reported and advisedit would be sorted only for the same to happen the next night. No shower taken as either scalding hot or freezing.had to make do with a wash down at the hand basin. Reported again when leaving. Apology given. Apart from this stay was as expected for the price.

We read many reviews, some of which were terrible, so we went with a good deal of trepidation. This is what we found:-
Outside: the hotel is in need of a lot of tlc, as the appearance is poor , peeled paintwork and window frames requiring replacing.
Inside; in need of more tlc - a coat of paint, new wallpaper or painting throughout. New carpets, reception desk and furniture would be good.
Bedrooms: clean, light, airy, spacious: plenty of hot water in the shower and taps. Decent towels, sheets and reasonable duvet.
Food; evening meal quite good, despite having to order main course beforehand -eg when checking in/breakfast. One of our party does not eat potatoes so they cooked some rice instead. Also a jacket potato replaced boiled/chips when requested. Sweets were really good! Breakfast was fine - usual choice of cereals, juice, some fresh fruit; cooked breakfast ok but bacon was fatty, fried bread too fatty but rest ok.
Service: good - staff were friendly, helpful and up for a laugh. Harry was the girls' blue eyed boy!!!!!!!!
Bar; good service and two for one was great. By buying quarter bottles of wine we got 4 full bottles of wine for £36 per night - a whole bottle each for £9.00 and it was quaffable.
Entertainment: good singer on the Friday, got us all joining in and did 3 encores. Saturday's was not so great!
Overall: fine as a budget hotel with no pretensions of grandeur. The hotel was warm, friendly and there was a choice of food to suit most palates. It serves its purpose but it is not for young children - too many stairs/corridors. Fine value for the money, especially if you take advantage of two for one and stock up before 9.00 pm!!

Room Tip: ask for a room on the front

I love Llandudno and it's calming influence. The recent two night stay me and my sister had at The New Loretta Hotel added to the experience. The hotel is a little tired and a little dated however our room was clean with plenty of space for us to store our knick knacks and move around without bumping into each other. The meals were great, as a vegetarian I am always anxious about what I will be provided with but not here, I had 4 choices each night for the mains and even had a veggie fry up for breakfast. The hotel is 5 minutes from the main street with plenty to explore in the area. Would definitely recommend here and will be visiting again.

weekend break with friends Fri-Sun, The main thing it is very clean and staff are nice, but otherwise its a very tired and run down hotel and food not really great.
service is friendly and professional, our room (double) was large but basic, we had a bathroom that was very large with a shower over the bath, again clean and clean towels, we were given 2 towels each. the hotel is near the shops, but parking is awful in all of Llundudno, we double parked at the hotel and all agreed we weren't leaving until the Sunday morning and wouldn't need our cars over the weekend, Llundudno is very nice, we were lucky and had great weather, food very basic and not a great choice, we all agreed you get what you pay for.
we liked the 2 for 1 prices on drinks early evening and good position of the hotel to town beach and shops

....in fact down right shabby and filthy.

We stayed at T.N.L.H. as part of a coach tour to fabulous Llandudno, what was not so fabulous was this often dirty hotel. Our room was a good one, top floor looking west to Angelsay, puffin island and the mountains. Fantastic and that is where the hotel gets its point.

The bed was so so, not so much if you ask the wife, but clean sheets and towels were in place and the room itself was spacious. However the tiny cubicle for showering was not the cleanest, luckily bleach wipes are at hand.

Food at dinner on the first night was, edible, just, but we never went back, preferring to eat at Llandudno's myriad of eateries. As we went into dinner on that first night we saw remnants of breakfast on the way in, not a good start. Surprisingly it has A one star rating for cooking cleanliness!!!! Breakfast was not so good either. And the service was I am afraid, laughable and surly at times. Some would say, down right rude. The food itself was barely edible, the eggs were passable and suffice for the rest of our stay.
The uncleanliness was apparent elsewhere to, some areas are just dirty, a trail is evident from some rooms and some staff were also unkempt. And at times rude, my wife had her breakfast chucked down at her.

The bar service was good two for one between 6 and 9!!! This did not make up for the problems.

Most worrying was the pile of dirty sheets etc at the front door, unclean and hazardous, especially because that's where the smokers smoked.

You get what you pay for and for nothing this would have been overpriced.

One star is being charitable.
