Beautiful historic pub in a beautiful part of the Suffolk countryside. Really friendly staff & locals who loved to chat telling me the history of the pub, (which is a community pub so definitely worth your support) the local area & gossip. Food looked fantastic too but was too busy drinking the great selection of local beers. Really worth the visit.

Thank James L

This is a lovely country pub which was saved by the local community who now run premises. There is a welcoming atmosphere with the food is all cooked to order, because of this there is a wait to be seated but the experience is well worth it. There is quite an extensive menu to suit most tastes and the prices are reasonable. This is a place where you have your table for the night and you can take your time to enjoy the whole experience.

It seems that the village clubbed together and took over this pub. They have made a gem of it. It is extremely friendly and atmospheric. The furnishings are very tasteful. The food is extremely reasonably priced and absolutely delicious. I had liver and bacon in a thick gravy with a mustard mash and vegetables, my husband had tasty sausages and mash plus the best sticky toffee pudding ever. It was full of locals of all ages, all chatting and laughing together. We will definitely revisit even though it is quite a way from us. How I wish we could do this with our village pub - sadly it is not for sale!

I had a lovely meal here! The French chef is fantastic! The new manager is very good, chatty and provides great service. The new style in the pub is lovely, it creates a warm and cosy feeling.

Highly recommend this pub!
