Stayed here for 2 nights whilst working in the area. Room was tiny. The room was above the kitchens and the music that was coming from there was ridiculas, pointless having the tv on. Also the coolers and dishwashers were noisy. This carried on til 10.15. Never again will I stay here. Too noisy.

Absolutely lovely staff! All very friendly and helpful.
Bar food was good and very reasonable. 2 for 1 meals which includes meals from the specials board.
Room was large and had anything we needed, only point is that it is a little dated but clean and comfortable all the same.
Breakfast was lovely with a good selection available.

We stayed at this establishment for one night after returning from France. The rooms on the website have all been refurbished according to the blurb, but our room number 11 was certainly not in this category and should be avoided at all costs. We arrived close on closing time had we got there earlier I would have refused to stay in that room. There was so much furniture in the room you couldn't walk around the bed. the bedside lampshade was scorched and burnt due to the incorrect bulb being used rendering it not fit for purpose and a possible fire risk. The bathroom ceiling was covered in mold and the sink was badly cracked. The breakfast was poor no wonder they give it as free no one would pay for it. Couldn't wait to leave. Won't be returning.

Stayed for a night with the kids. Stupidly cheap room rate, with free breakfast thrown in. Staff were friendly and welcoming throughout. Room was as expected - a bit dated, but clean with tea/coffee/bottled water/biscuits, free wifi and a freeview TV. Room was a bit noisy, with a piece of pub equipment going all night (sounded like a dishwasher, but obviously wasn't), and is on a busy junction so a few sirens throughout. Breakfast was good, with the standard continental buffet, followed by the cooked breakfast of your choice. Would recommend for a budget stay.

Room tip: avoid rooms at the front of the hotel.

Stayed here last month as wanted to stay in a pub rather than a soulless Travelodge type place. Mistake. Noisy, not clean, grubby carpets throughout and in need of a major re-furb. Bed was very comfy but that's the only positive I can put. Room was directly above kitchen and extractor fan ran until 10.00 pm and was on again at 6.30 am. Music from kitchen ridiculously loud. Breakfast was poor as though it had been cooked for ages and on a warm plate for a couple of hours and served by the woman who was also cleaning the place in between serving. Not good. I am back in Poole this week on business and guess what, I'm staying at the soulless Travelodge cos I wouldn't stay at this place if it was half price. Give it a miss.

Room tip: Do not stay in room 9
