Friendly, relaxed and pub is warm and cosy. At peak times booking should be recommended, through the week it is quiet and chilled. There has never been an issue with waiting times or food. The pub is a lovely old fashioned country pub, with a jolly and relaxed atmosphere.

Had not visited Yorkshire for a long time to see family. The Rockingham Arms was recommended for our stay and it was perfect for our needs. The bedrooms were very clean and a great night's sleep. The food, beer and wines in the evening were very good and the breakfast delicious.

A great place to stay while visiting the area.

Family Sunday lunch today. First visit for food. We were a party of 6 adults 2 kids. 2 courses each 2 of us had 3 courses. Cost £116.00. Excellent food and service. Best steak I've had from a pub. Will definitely go again.

We visited the Rockingham arms today for lunch and found the food to be of poor standard. I ordered a vegetarian Sunday roast that included a mushroom pie, the pie looked as though it had been over cooked, the pastry was rock hard and the few mushrooms inside were like rubber. Yorkshire pudding was over cooked and chewy. Only part of the meal that was enjoyable were the potatoes.
I think the chef didn't care what they served up....
Won't be going back....

Stayed here for 2 nights as my son had his wedding reception in the barn at the back of the pub.
The room was a good size but very dated and much in need of an update! The bathroom was very bleak with lots of damp, we all had a giggle as everything kept falling of the walls when ever you entered the bathroom, you only had to look at the towel rail and it fell off!! Brilliant shower though very powerful.
Even though we had booked for 4 people on arrival we only had 2 towels, 2 cups and 1 toilet roll so had to ask for more which was bought across promptly. Beds were very comfy.
The pub itself was nice, friendly helpful staff and nice food but drinks very expensive!
