The room was clean and well presented as well as being a good size along with a great shower. The only issue it was very warm at night on the hottest weekend of the year and there is no air conditioning. The windows did open but not very much, I assume due to security and safety. Breakfast was included in the price and was very good with a good variety of foods including a Full English. The hotel was only a short walk from town. We checked in early and the receptionist checked if our room was ready and enabled us to check in early, All the staff we came across from the Receptionist to the Breakfast people and also the cleaning staff were all polite and eager to help.

I have been given a room that has been unclean and unprepared for accomodation. People in the reception were unable to convey in english why my room was in a mess. The food tasted out of date and there were rotten pancakes on the buffet table. Stay away people...

We checked in at 2pm but when we got to the room it hadn’t been serviced. However a lovely Hungarian housekeeper( who looked annoyed that someone hadn’t done their job)very quickly allowed us to use a nearby room so that we could watch the rest of the England match while she serviced the room. She suggested that we made a coffee but the first pot of milk used was off but she quickly checked the use by dates for us. Fortunately the problem wasn’t repeated. The next morning ( like a previous reviewer) we were unable to adjust the showers temperature from scalding hot. The receptionist explained how to adjust it but it still wouldn’t work and there were no instructions as suggested by management in his case. If the maintenance man did attend it still wouldn’t work that evening. Because there were no instructions for the phone either we had to trek from the 2nd floor to reception to keep complaining. Nothing so simple as dialling 0.
However we asked for a room change and the very helpful receptionist found us a better room.
When I booked I asked for a double en suite with breakfast and was quoted £70per night but on arrival we were told the price didn’t include breakfast
We found the hotel to be very clean and comfortable, the small lounge areas were a nice touch and the staff were very helpful and pleasant. The rooms were modern and nicely furnished with adequate toiletries and tea/coffee.
There was a good choice at breakfast. The full English was acceptable but not special.
If it hadn’t been for the problems it would have had a four star review.

The hotel seems recently renovated as everything was very clean and tidy. Staff at the front desk was kind and helpful

My room was spacious and pleasant to stay. Outside was a nice terrace with plants
Free WiFi internet worked well

Breakfast was served in the next door pub and was of good quality.

Absolutely worth-the-price hotel. Don't get spooked of the facade pictures you'll find on the net, the place is actually cozy and comfortable.
And the young generation working at the reception deserves only applauds (especially the mate from Poland - thanks for the life-saving problem solution with the English power outlets).
Just be attentive in the elevator - tricky thing, almost like London tube system.
