We dined here on a Friday in August and it was very quiet, only three other tables occupied. The staff were friendly and efficient. Food very good, nicely presented. Decent wine list. The restaurant is housed in an old building so quite atmospheric and there is a large fountain/water feature which is quite nice if that's your kind of thing. Had one problem with some rice that was served a bit cooler, but was returned without a problem. In short, would recommend.

There are 4 Thai restaurants in this area and this is my favourite. The other two are very good but neither match this one.
There is a little water fountain with pretty fish and coloured fairy lights and an upstairs dining area. The dining area downstairs is nice but the "back" tables are too close to the loos so avoid those.
Staff are efficient and fairly friendly but what really makes it is the food. Reasonably priced with a whole range of traditional Thai specialities plus a wide range of Chinese dishes for those who are less adventurous and vegetarian options that even as a meat eater I quite often have as they are far from the bland steamy stirfry options normally on offer. Crisp vegetables with moutwatering zingy sauces that make the humble veg quite spectacular.
The Spicy Gang Pa Jungle curry has enough kick to impress and as it has no coconut milk in it is the ideal choice with steamed rice and veggies for those looking for a low fat dish.
Portions are typically Thai sized which are ideal for me but those with larger appetites should definitely order an extra side of the speciality rice or noodle options. We sometimes order an extra starter dish to share with the main course but even then with drinks the bill is usually under £30 for two
Decor is typically Thai and although it is perhaps a little dated compared to the leather and stainless steel of some of the more modern restaurants the food never fails to impress.
Decor 3 out of 5
Service 4 out of 5
Food 4 out of 5
