We visit Center Parcs regularly and have always enjoyed our stay because the water facilities are always extraordinary. Previously we have stuck to Longleat or Elvendon Forest. This time we thought we would try the newest of the Parcs, Woburn. Organisationally is is great, the Parc uses the latest tech and is split between two main locations so nothing is a long bike ride away.
However, they are already carrying out renovations so our first night restaurant booking had to be rearranged. Not impressed with our alternative, Hucks as the children's buffet was limited and not refreshed with more food and what was there had obviously been there a while.
The site uses RFI armbands as lodge keys and to can associate your credit card with them so you can pay for food and drink in the water park areas. Great, apart from the fact that there are only two outlets that actually there and the Starbucks one doesn't seem to ever work so you need cash or card again.
Whilst we are on the subject of the water park. This is obviously the height of Parc design such that it minimises staffing and running costs, but this is at the cost of facilities. It's great if you are under 10, if not then you have the Rapids or the slides. There is no pool to swim in - the wave pool is only 0.5 M at its deepest and can't be used for swimming. The jacuzzi pool is the start of the Rapids and is tiny.
THERE IS NOTHING DECENT FOR ADULTS.- even the Rapids are tame compare to other Parcs.
It's not like they have got the space, around the area of the "SWIMMING paradise" as there is scrubland and ponds so they could have built a big pool like they have at Elvendon.
Bottom line, even though we came with two young boys, they enjoy swimming so we won't be bothering with Woburn again.

Our party ranged in age from 5 - 70 and we all had a great time. Plenty to do for all ages - even the 70 year olds went down the White Water Rapids!

The pool was very clean and tidy. The new wristbands are easy to use and instructions are listed around the changing rooms explaining how to use them. We hired a private cabana one night which was a little unnecessary as the other family we were with who couldnt swim during their stay left early for the health of their baby (they became extremely overheated as there was no ventilation). We found the pool to be fairly quiet on both of our visits. We were surprised that the lazy river was warm but both the toddler pool and main pool were relatively cold. So cold in fact my daughter turned blue after coming out!
Take your towels in with you if you can especially if you have small children with you.

Pretty good with the rides but needs a pool and more space in general. We were told by staff that in Summer it is a nightmare!

Went on a Center Parcs trip with family and friends. Had a great few days over the bank holiday weekend. Lots of fun all round. Only real negative was the Subtropical Swimming Paradise that seems to lack enough for kids between 7 to 9 years old as they cannot go on major water slides.. height restriction, and the Lazy River, Wave Pool and Kids slides wear-off quite quickly.

Why is there no big swimming pool. Would be a great addition and fill a major gap.

Thank Stephen W
