Popped in here for tea while staying at the Travelodge along the road. Old country pub, food was pub food, scampi steak pie etc. Was alright for the money. The only thing was a TV on the wall very loud playing urban music, which I thought a bit strange for this type of pub. Didn't visit the toilets so cannot comment on them.

We made he 45min journey here to meet some friends for drinks and some lunch as they traveled home from holiday. I chose this place as it is superbly placed just off M25/J14. If you look at street view on Google then it looks boarded up but I can assure you that it has been fully (and fashionably) refurbished and is very much up and running.

The choice of beer is good - one real ale, and lots of spirits, lagers and bottled alcopops - roughly £4 a pint. The food was average (burgers) to excellent (steak and ale pie) - but very cheap (about £6 per meal).

BT/Sky Sports at one end of the bar too. I’m not sure what the old place was like but if I was stuck in one of the nearby LHR T5 hotels on a work trip then I would, in contrast to other earlier reviews, be very happy to sit here for the evening.

Pleasant local pub with friendly bar staff. Nicely decorated inside, prompt service and a pleasant atmosphere at lunchtime. Pretty good value drinks.

Tip of the day though, if you are over 5 foot 10, watch the low side door on the way out!

Exactly like out of a movie set, a bar where the lady calls everyone "Love," locals drinking and discussing soccer, a room with a fire place, all wood furniture, Sunday roast, and every drink comes by the pint.

This being the only pub in walking distance of my hotel, I was disappointed to find it closed and boarded up. Nasty walk through the industrial and heavy logistics area too.

Back to the hotel for a crummy fired something or other then.
