Absolutely beautiful so much better than expected I have seen these cabins for years and always fancied having a look inside, well now I have and would recommend everybody to have a visit. It is an excellent base for loads of places to visit and amazing countryside.
Added extras like milk and cakes in the fridge for your arrival just made it all special and so many nick knacks in cupboards just in case you forgot anything ... Will definitely be back

“Good Base”
Reviewed 6 October 2014 for a stay in September 2014

If you've been to US National Park cabins, you'll feel right at home. These are efficient, quaint, sweet, a lot of space for little money (like the Y-camp cabins), and near lovely walking and beautiful touring forested scenery. Like the US NP cabins, they are near the main road going through the national forest, so don't expect remote but rather very accessible, easy with kids of all ages and multi-generation families travelling together looking for a good base from which to tour this beautiful area of Scotland. We made it a first night from the airport -- an easy drive and a refreshing short ferry just when jet-lag hits. Then a few more miles and you're there. Beware, have to leave currency for your energy use when you leave, so have some change on hand; that's a little like having to bring one's own towels (which you also have to do) -- a bit of the 50's still exists. Great diner just up the road, as well.

We're glad you enjoyed your stay at Pucks Lodge as you say it is ideally located for walks in the area and easily accessible from Glasgow Airport. We do run an honesty box system for electric payments as we feel this is the fairest system. As electricity prices have risen rather than pass these costs onto all our guests we simply ask guests to pay for what they have used, that way people who use little electricity are not subsidising those who use a lot. However we were somewhat perplexed by your comment about Towels as we provide both bath and hand towels for all visitors to the lodge?? Really not sure what was the issue, perhaps you may have stayed at another of the lodges on site who do not provide towels ?

“Excellent location for walking holiday and well equipped accommodation.”
Reviewed 9 August 2014 for a stay in March 2014

We have stayed at Pucks Lodge three time and is now a yearly visit. The lodge is well located for walkers and hikers in the pictoresque Pucks Glen and Lock Ech is also within easy walking distance.

The lodge has a double room as well as two twin rooms and although basic is very well equipped with washing facilities and all you would need on a self catering holiday.
