“Absolutely could not fault this guest house - loved it! A home from home!”
Reviewed 14 August 2015 for a stay in July 2015

My husband and I stayed in the main house for 5 nights and thought the room was beautiful and very clean. Hosts were excellent, very friendly and made us feel extremely welcome. Couldn't wish for more at breakfast and would recommend the poached eggs, they were delicious. Would definitely go back again and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay in the area.

“Yet again, home from home”

We enjoyed our first stay at Rothbury in May of this year so much, we had to go back again. Andrew and Jan always exceed our expectations in making our stay better each time we visit. The apartment was outstanding as always and on this occasion my sister and her husband joined us in the main house B and B. They too, were made very comfortable and enjoyed their stay. EVERYONE must try Jan's pouched eggs at breakfast time, she loves making them in her own special way.
We have just recommended some friends to go to Rothbury at Hay on Wye, the surrounding walks and countryside are stunning.
We will be back!!

“Home from home with amazing countryside”
Reviewed 13 April 2015 for a stay in April 2015

Jan and Andrew are lovely owners of this beautiful house set on a hill overlooking Hay on Wye. They made us feel so welcome and we enjoyed their company. Their dog Bertie took a shine to our dog called Woody. His ears prick up at the sound of his name..
The main house does B and B but we stayed at the self catering coach house next door. It is lovely, immaculate and well maintained. We felt extremely comfortable there. The kitchen and lounge are open plan and bedroom spacious with windows at every aspect overlooking the hills and town - stunning!. You are guaranteed a trip to remember if you stay here.
I wish both Jan and Andrew a lovely wedding in May. We will be back!!!!

“fantastic”
Reviewed 7 October 2014 for a stay in October 2014

From the moment we arrived, we received the warmest welcome. The property was clean, tidy and welcoming. The smallest touches were all cared for from fresh milk to lavender and the propery itself couldnt be a better base for a relaxing break in lovely surroundings. Doesnt get any better than waking up to hearing the sheep bleet first thing in a morning. Thanks so much for making our weekend so enjoyable.

“A Perfect Little Hideaway”
Reviewed 10 August 2014 for a stay in August 2014

What a little gem The Coach House, Rothbury is! Perfect for a couple, the apartment is very comfortable and beautifully furnished with views of the green fields and hills above Cusop near Hay on Wye on the English border with Wales. There is a lovely garden with a choice of 2 patio's where you can sit and relax.

Rothbury is a 10 minute walk (or short drive) from the centre of Hay, famous for it's book shops and annual festival. For keen walkers, Offa's Dyke runs through the town, and the lovely river Wye offers riverside walks of varying lengths and difficulty.

The Brecon Beacons are a short drive away as is Brecon itself. Hereford is about 15 minutes. We paid a visit to the National Trust Weir Garden on the Hereford Road which is very pretty and, despite being on a slope, has easy accessible paths through the garden and down to the river Wye.

The proprietors, Jan and Andrew Billington, couldn't be more helpful and made us feel very welcome. We will definitely be paying a visit again.
