What a miserable place this has become, (indeed in line with much of Worthing's past centres of attraction, not that there were that many). The lack of investment is patently obvious. Everything is just run down. This was my childrens favourite place, so much to do, a thriving pleasure park. No pleasure here anymore!

This could be a great venue for families, but over the years it has declined through neglect. Patched up in the winter with a few repair jobs and a coat of paint. Each year it gets worse. I live up the road from it and have watched it's decline from when my children used it, to my grandchildren. Sad because with the right people running it could be so much better.

Brooklands could do with a HUGE refurb, something like Rustington Golf Course, with an indoor play area, bowling alley, restaurant, something! It's a waste of space at the moment, and could actually be a good place to go. PLEASE abolish parking charges.

Took a walk round there the other day. The lake has been drained to remove algae and hopefully the work will turn it into a wildlife preserve and someone will invest in the pleasure grounds as they are in grave need of updating so it can be enjoyed by the whole family.

This was my first visit to Brooklands and it was no pleasure! The lake has been drained by the Council to do site improvements so you are just looking at a sea of mud for the foreseeable future. However, the so called Halloween experience was very poor indeed. The tain was being run by teenagers who although very polite were just 'there' and the train itself had to be pushed half of the way around! There was very little to see with just badly painted signs thrown up every so many yards - one even said 'Here lie the bones of Michael Jackson' - this did not really mean much to any under 10's. Everything was very run down and badly executed. The whole way around is also covered in large steel barriers to which means its very boring for the kids.
The play area is £5 per child and is just a few 'pits' with again run down items which most kids had finished with in five minutes. The Cafe is ok but again chairs were broken, everything was sticky and the wall paper was peeling off the walls. The food was passable but not great.
All in all a waste of a visit. The kids got more enjoyment from the normal play area which was free and well maintained.
