Nice hotel, could do with updating the bathrooms.

I stayed for three nights with my brother. We had single rooms. The room was spotlessly clean and was nicely decorated in a modern style. It was comfortable and well equipped with tea and coffee making facilities - kettle, tea bags, coffee sachets and hot chocolate and milk packets, plus a welcome packet of two biscuits each night. They might want to consider providing complimentary bottles of water, which I have had at similar establishments. The bedding fabrics seemed very good quality.
However, on the downside I found the bed very hard and slightly creaky, so wasn't entirely comfortable at night. My room overlooked a flat roof and on the first morning, I opened my curtains to find a man on the flat roof outside my window, attending to some repairs. Consequently I didn't feel very secure at night and although the room was quite hot (no aircon but a fan was provided) I did not feel safe enough to keep the window open, which also made it hard to sleep well. In addition there was a large pipe/vent running across the flat roof and it made a constant noise, day and night.
The slatted blind was also slightly broken at the bottom and was hard to close.
Although the bedroom was very pleasant and quite contemporary in style, the ensuite bathroom badly needed modernisation as it looked like it had not been refurbished since about the 1980s and was very dated with that horrible non-slip "granite-look" flooring that you used to find in school toilets. There was no mixer tap on the sink and the hot tap was incredibly stiff to use. The shower cubicle was very cramped so showering was not a good experience and although the control was easy to use, once the water was hot, it became very stiff and difficult to turn the water off quickly without getting drenched in a jet of cold water.
I was disappointed that the attractive lounge bar did not have a TV as it was the night of the Paralympic Opening Ceremony and we would have liked to have sat in the bar and watched the ceremony over a couple of drinks.
The dining room was nicely appointed and the breakfast was good, particularly the fresh fruit salad. I noted that plant milks were not provided as standard. If I had been there with my vegan daughter we would have had to ask for them, but it would be nice if people didn't have to ask and they were just available.
We were not shown the menu on the first morning or told that we could request items if we did not want the cooked breakfast buffet and we were quite disappointed when we realised we could have had something different. However, on days two and three we were asked if we wanted anything from the menu and we ordered items which were fresh and well cooked. The waiting staff were pleasant and friendly.
Overall it was a good stay and I would stay there again, although would request a room in a different part of the hotel. It's a nice hotel in a great position but could do with refurbishing the bathrooms urgently.

I've been in this hotel 5 days for a business trip. The place is lovely, very clean and very close to the sea (which is certainly a plus).
Since day 1 the staff has gone the extra mile to accommodate my need even parking my car when I was not able to do so. A very special thanks to Susanne who has been a real star for me and made my life way easier.
Very beautiful restaurant, only thing I will suggest is the possibility to have an espresso but the variety of breakfast was excellent.
Thank you again for everything

Huge thank to Ardington Hotel for a truly wonderful Afternoon Tea Monday afternoon for my youngest daughter’s ‘hen do’ with grand daughters and grandson !!! Both the service and food was amazing !!! One of grand daughters is diary intolerant and she had her own !!!! It seemed like nothing was too much effort !!!
Being in the Customer Service industry ourselves we really appreciated the staff going above and beyond and creating a truly special memory for our family. We will definitely be back !!! Thank you again to The Ardington Hotel, Worthing

I booked a week's holiday and as a solo traveller I really appreciated the friendliness of the Ardington staff, who found time to ask if I'd enjoyed my day and to listen to what I'd been doing. My room was impeccable, with beautifully clean bed linen and comfortable mattress - both pillows and mattress were better than mine at home! At breakfast I enjoyed choosing what I wanted and if I wanted something more I only had to ask. Being alone, I preferred to eat light meals in the lounge in the evenings rather than in the restaurant. I was always served with the utmost courtesy and friendliness. The Ardington has a warmth, charm and comfortable feeling, which many a modern hotel lacks nowadays. I recommend this hotel and its excellent staff wholeheartedly.
