Fantastic stay the hotel couldn’t do anything more for you! The food in the restaurant is outstanding! Drink prices are a little bit steep but apart from that the hotel is lovely and breakfast is an all you can eat which suits the whole family

Well presented clean spacious rooms, the hotel is pleasantly decorated through out and well maintained. I found the service to be excellent as I did not eat here I cannot comment on the standard or cost of food.

We stayed over for a family wedding and had a spa day afterwards as a treat. We got given a room that was for disabled which wasn’t required. My husband is over 6ft so didn’t enjoy how low down he had to go to use the sink. Room service to get extra pillows was really quick and the staff were lovely! Unfortunately at our stay there was a fight in the car park and some people also smoking marijuana which was a big put off for us. Breakfast was really yummy and the staff down there were extremely welcoming! In the spa we both had a massage and would recommend it, was a treat. We probably wouldn’t go back and stay as we thought it was over priced really for how we felt the overall experience wasn’t amazing and the bathroom definitely needed updating, cracked tiles etc but we did just stay in a standard room and wouldn’t stay again because of what we’ve said above but enjoyed the spa and the wedding.

On arrival at The Grill the lady that greeted us was instantly annoyed that we’d booked the round table for 9 people. She was abrasive to say the least.
This was a belated birthday celebration but we felt awkward and at first didn’t quite understand the problem. We requested the round table when booking.

Eventually we sat down, the same lady took our drinks order and informed us that the table was available for just 2 hours! I think this should have been mentioned when booking.

We notice the the staff worked hard, but if we hadn’t cleared our own plates away(putting them on the window ledge for collection) we would have been there much longer. We felt some pressure on time and aware we overstayed our welcome by 30 minutes or so.

The food itself was very nice, only one thing, the Eton Mess had little or no meringue in it.

It would have been a nice family get together on Easter Sunday except for the unwelcome reception, this wasn’t a good way to greet people. I’m paying good money to eat and enjoy a family gathering not listen to a receptionist have a moan, it’s not professional either.

I would hesitate to go again.
