Not impressed, room bitterly cold , nice chap on reception came and saw thermostat was turned up and heater on, but it hours and hours to warm up . The noise from bathroom made by fan is awfull and takes ages to go off, there is no little mirrow light so we used bathroom with door open rather than put up with din.The drinks supplies was very scant but nice man gave me more ,(but really should you have to ask) There was no toiletries only 2 sqeezy bottles the one over bath was empty. Really do not think there is any difference with this chain and Travelodge (you get a small soap and real toilet paper with them) the toilet paper here is a one sheet at a time dispenser.Really think this company is cutting costs to the bone no tissues or pen and pad and if you want breakfast it is extra. On a positive note the room was clean and staff nice.

Room Tip: end of corridor

This hotel is situated on the island where the M50 becomes the A40 and has a Beefeater restaurant on the same site. Since my last visit [20 years ago!!] the hotel has been extended. Our room overlooked fields, as did the main entrance lobby. The room configuration is of a standard Premier inn [no complaints there then]. The staff were efficient, friendly and helpful. In fact when they discovered that it was my birthday [18 mental years with 54 years of experience!!!!] they left me a card, balloon and chocolates in our room. It was a lovely gesture of random kindness and was greatly appreciated. Mobile phone reception [Vodafone] was grim in the hotel. The free wifi worked efficiently and speedily. Despite the hotel being sited at a busy junction the rooms were very quiet. in the older part of the hotel there is no lift/elevator to the upper floor. All in all this is a great place to stop, unwind and visit the town of Ross on Wye with its narrow up and down streets with paths to walk along the majestic river Wye.

Room Tip: Even numbered rooms tend to look over fields and are quieter with the window open.

We recently stayed at the Ross On Wye premier Inn and can heartily recommend it to anyone wishing to stay in that area.
It is located on the outskirts of town and not really in walking distance, but the upshot is that it is easy to commute to all the nearby towns and attractions.
The staff at the premier inn were very friendly, with a special shout out to Josie on reception who gave excellent service.
There is a Beefeater restaurant next door and we made use of the meal deal offering evening meal and breakfast at £25 per person, which was good value.
