“Wonderful place to stay”

The cottage was simply exceeded our expectations in every way. It's position overlooking the quay is stunning and as the living areas are upstairs the views are wonderful. A short walk up the cobbles to the high street where everything you need is on offer, well worth going to the marker on Saturday. Very handy to have the parking pass too. The cottage is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Handy for the Isle of Wight and all that the New Forest has to offer.

“Great cottage, great location, great holiday!”

When we were looking to book our first holiday with our 11 month old son we had certain criteria, and this cottage ticked all the boxes. It had two bedrooms, a bathroom with a bath, outside space, parking (permit), reasonably child friendly and a fabulous location. When we arrived it was everything we hoped it would be.

The cottage felt homely straight away and there were so many thoughtful touches; roses on the table, milk in the fridge.

The cottage is right on the harbour and has great views of the boats coming and going, (even though you have to look past the car park).

The high street is a stones throw and there are lovely little shops and cafes and restaurants. It really has the feel of a seaside town, though on the river. There were lots of people crabbing in the quay and with beautiful weather, everyone was indulging in ice creams and there was a great holiday vibe as you strolled up the cobbled streets.

The Lymington market was great on the Saturday- they sell everything you can imagine, from fresh fruit to plugs and slippers, and luckily we were there for the French market coming to Lymington on the Sunday too!

There is a children's park nearby and the sea is a short drive away. There are so many things to explore and visit in the surrounding areas. We always managed to get a parking space in the long stay car park outside the cottage with the permit provided.

The cottage was a great choice and we would recommend it. All the room sizes were good and the garden was a great lunch time sun trap.

Thank you for a great stay!

“Excellent accomodation in central location.”

The house is perfectly located in an excellent position right on the Quay in Lymington with access to all the local amenities within walking distance. A safe environment for our children who were able to wander around safely. The house is beautifully equipped, I don't think there way anything missing in the kitchen. Comfortable beds, modern kitchen and bathroom, garden and stunning views thanks to the 'upside down' arrangement. We would certainly consider returning.

“Great place to stay !”

Our second grandchild had just been born and we needed a good place to stay . Our son and his partner booked this lovely, well equipped house for us .
It is comfortable and well furnished as well as being really well equipped with everything needed to have an enjoyable stay. It was also lovely and warm with no extra charge for hot water and heating .
We were welcomed with a lovely note from the owner, fresh tulips in the lounge , milk in the fridge and fresh baked doughnuts in the kitchen. A really nice touch .
The house is so well appointed being on the quay in Lymington with a great view of all the activity. It is handy for the main street and shopping on the Lymington high street. There are plenty of pubs and restaurants in walking distance . So it's easy to walk to all of these places and the parking permit is easy to use near to the house but can be used when you venture to some of the local places in the area.
There is , of course , the New Forest on the doorstep and many places to visit including the Isle of Wight. Also we were able to dine at the Montagu Arms at Beaulieu which was superb enjoying Michelin starred dining.
We enjoyed a wonderful stay while welcoming our second granddaughter into the world .
This is highly recommended accommodation!

“Delightful cottage in wonderful location”

The cottage has been beautifully restored and having the living room on the first floor was excellent for watching life on the quay.
The staircase is quite steep, however my 91 year old Mother managed it without a problem!
The outside space is a lovely sun trap but you have to be organised if eating there as you have to bring the food from upstairs!
Tracey was very helpful especially when we locked ourselves out!
The parking permit is a boon in such a popular area.
Extremely comfortable beds and little noise considering the location, so excellent sleeping.
We have visited Lymington for over 10 years but it was our first time at Quay Cottage. We hope to stay again next summer.
