Very easy to find - just off motorway. It is very dated. The pub area is not like a modern pub, more like a front room and the pub menu was old-fashioned and expensive (£8/9 for an omelette). The room itself was spacious and the beds were comfortable. The bathroom really smelt of damp/drains, especially when we arrived and in the mornings.

On a positive note, the staff were super friendly and helpful and the hotel was very clean.

If you need to stay in Lockerbie and just require a comfy bed near the motorway I would recommend.

Staff were pleasant which is a positive - even went to the trouble of finding me clean wine glasses for our room. The room was in the extension part of the hotel a long walk from the check in desk which didn't reflect the images used to promote the hotel. Room was small and very tired. The bathroom was very old and tired marked black mold on silicone, a shower curtain that had orange staining around edges from the discoloured water ( old pipework causes this) the smell of drains was horrendous we put in both plugs to try and alleviate this problem and opened the window, kept the door shut too.We reported this in the morning and were given blank looks by the staff as if in disbelief that there was any sort of problem. The bed was uncomfortable and really hard. We couldn't even bring ourselves to have a coffee as the teaspoons weren't clean - stained and grimy. It was way over priced at £75 with no breakfast - wish we'd driven further to the Premier Inn! Do yourself a favour and stay somewhere cleaner, more modern and certainly cheaper!

Thank you for your review !
Sorry you felt the room was a long walk from reception, unfortunately not a lot we can do about that.
Many people stay in the room you were in and no one so far has ever complained about the room, probably thats why you were met with a look of disbelief, but we are certainly investigating the drains and the state of the bath/curtain now !
We can only apologise for the teaspoon.
With reference to the bed, we had one customer ask where we purchase our mattresses from as he had a great nights sleep in the same room !
We wish you well with future stays in the Premier Inn

The staff were really friendly, however the hotel is very tired and in need of some TLC if it wants to move forward. The breakfast was great but the dinner could have had a bit more effort put into it.

We needed a stop to stay the night before the day of our flight and chose this hotel because of its reviews on Trip Advisor.

It was very easy to find (just typed "Old Annan Road" on the SatNav and it lead us right on the hotel's driveway!), the lady at the Reception was very warm & accommodating (such a big plus!), the room we stayed in was clean and planned well (Double Occupancy - a double bed & a single bed), the bathroom was modern & clean, the towels were new & still fluffy. The bed was comfortable, the pillows were just right, the sheets were very clean.

Food servings were well-portioned and fairly priced.

We booked this hotel as a stopover from Edinburgh, first of all well done to the camera man and the website builder.
It looked family friendly with the playground and family rooms, I knew we had made a mistake when we pulled up and the car park was full of contractor vans, first impressions were not to bad as the reception is in the old part of the hotel, we were given a key and pointed to the room, it was in the extended part and probably done in the 80s, very basic, awful bed with the springs pushing up, a basic mattress topper would quite easily sort this, the pine bunk beds creaked so much it was unbelievable. Anyhow it was only for one night so we thought we would be fine, went to the Townhead hotel for dinner, returned at around 10.00 and went to bed, as mentioned the bed was very uncomfortable and the room boiling hot, they mention the hotel is in 3 acres of gardens and they are very nice, what they don't mention is there is a really busy road 50 meters away so we could not leave the windows open. Around 11.00 people started to go to their rooms, the fire door outside our room banged closed so loudly it shook our room, when next door arrived we could here them speaking and even going to the toilet, almost no sleep, the only thing of note was the breakfast which was really good. No good if you want a peaceful night. Never ever would we visit again.

In response to your review, I'm sorry you did not enjoy your stay with us.
Firstly, I'm sorry the room was too hot, sadly there is nothing we can do about the great British weather, we do not have air conditioning in our rooms as the temperatures are not ever high enough to justify this.
The location of our Hotel is again not an aspect that would be in anyone's power to adjust. The road that you are referring to is actually a slip road, and all shown on our maps.
I am in the process of investigating the 'banging door' and will do my utmost to fix, thank you for bringing it to my attention.
Lots of families stay over the year, and so far, no one has mentioned the bunk beds or the poor state of the double bed, they are standard size with good quality mattresses and not ages old and we constantly review the quality and state of all our mattresses in all bedrooms.
As for our other guests (contractor vans) I don't particularly understand why that would be an issue. We treat all our customers the same, our town accommodates a lot of contractors from all over the UK and we cater for a wide range of people, from leisure/tourist families to the highest business people.

Our Hotel is an old traditional building and the area you were in, and the walls are not completely soundproof, hence you could probably hear our other guests for which we cannot take responsibility for the manner or the volume of their step.

Sorry again about your experience, and we wish you had brought this to our attention at the time of checkout.
