Spent 4 nights, dbb, at this hotel well situated in Grantown and ideally situated for touring the Speyside area. The hotel was comfortable, good sized room. Staff were pleasant and attentive, if a little overworked. Special mention to the dining staff and Matthew, nothing was too much trouble for them, both for ourselves and other guests.

Had 2 days here for a fantastic deal through Easy Breaks and was very impressed. As a solo walker I don't need very much but some places can stick the single traveller in the poorer rooms often overlooking a skip. Not so with the Craiglynne, lovely warm single room facing the front of the hotel with everything I needed. Hotel was well decorated and immaculately maintained in the areas I visited. WiFi works in the bar and large foyer so plenty of seats for everyone. Meals were nothing short of superb for this price range, breakfast and dinner were delicious good sized portions of quality ingredients. Staff were very pleasant indeed and displayed great patience with some of the predominantly much older guests who seemed to find fault with everything. That did cause slight delays in service but it was not the hotels fault. Parking is not a serious issue, yes its busy but you will find a space albeit perhaps not right next to the entrance. In short this is a great value hotel that provides a useful base for exploring this area and I shall certainly be back.

Room tip: Front facing overlook the gardens.

I stayed her for two nights and it was a great experience the hotel is currently upgrading wifi so you will be drawn out from your room to the foyer which isn't bad at all the service and staff are very friendly and felt at ease and at home right from the start I would happily recommend this hotel if you were passing through
