A modest and unassuming piece of our industrial heritage, illuminated by the friendly and informative guy on duty.

My husband and 11yr old daughter visited the mill during the school holidays last year and were keen to return. Our visit at the weekend was my first ... I was very impressed at the level of work that has been carried out on this site to restore the mill. The overall site is quite small but it is packed with a number of interesting features. You can pay for an individual visit, or like us get a family pass which lasts a whole year for just £12. I am looking forward to returning in Spring to see the wildflowers and then in June to see the Dragonflies. It would be good to see more people supporting this local gem! Please spread the word...

Have passed the sign for this mill many times on our way west. Decided to give it a try. There were 2 men working on site, one who took our money. He was very knowledgable and friendly, but unfortunately there was not a great deal of interest if you were not into mechanical structures.

We were looking for an attraction close to where we were staying. Something that would fill a one to two hour slot. This place was ideal. Steeped in local history, very welcoming and picturesque. We were greeted and shown around. It was an interesting visit. Highly recommended if you are in the area. Suitable for young and old.

Local history re: water mill (which hubby loved). Still needs a lot of working doing on it and think it will take some time. There are plenty of ponds but did not see any wildlife, hopefully next visit. Parking limited so get there early. Staff friendly and informative.
