Wow. What an amazing location! The hotel is great. Very attractively furnished. The staff are also so friendly and helpful. The views of the river are to die for. Wonderful choice at breakfast also.

Could only get a front room as a last minute booking. Room was a very good size modern but chic. Very good size bath and on suite. OK TV is a bit on the small side but not a major point. Bed was a Queen size and is probably the most comfortable I have ever slept in - sheer luxury.
Excellent breakfast and dinner menus. Staff extremely efficient, helpful and friendly.

Only downside was that it was a little niosy for half an hour or so when the pubs kicked out and woken early by the sea gulls - but soon got back to sleep again. Double glazing might be a solution.
Again £180 for a front room is a little steep but with a dinner deal thrown in felt good value overall

Room Tip: Rear river view if possible but you will enjoy the hotel which ever room you book

Small room - well maintained
Great terrace and willing staff (we hung out there a lot)
Breakfast food good
Dinner was very poorly done (fish and sides for two)
Couple of local wines and beers - could do with more
We enjoyed hiring boat, ready money cove etc...and nice cornish pasty from butchers
Liked it enough to head back!

Room Tip: Go for a room with estuary view

This is a lovely little hotel, comfortable bedroom, great views. The food was excellent. The hotel manager Andrew Chapman was a star and did everything possible to make our stay as comfortable as possible.

We visited in early June 2011 for three days.Once getting over the excitement of driving your car through the dinky streets of Fowey, you stop the car, unload and then park the car 800 yds down the road and walk back. The welcome was as expected, warm and cheerful. We were in Rm 10 which was pleasant without being huge but it did lack a comfortable chair and the rates you pay should really justify one. However a small point because dinner/breakfasts were excellent.Young professional staff, good timings between courses and the quality and presentation excellent. We did not feel the need to eat out anywhere else after the first night. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the local countryside was an added bonus.

Room Tip: Book early and get a sea view room.

Stayed on top floor in room 10 which was very well maintained and comfortable. Up 2 flights of stairs at the top of the hotel - had a great side view overlooking the estuary. Lovely big bath and shower - could have done with a shelf in bathroom. Bed quite good - maybe needs a slightly thicker mattress. No car parking at the hotel - so bags are dropped at the door and then car park about about 800m flat walk - no problem for us at all and car parking fee is paid by the hotel.

Room Tip: Well worth paying extra for a lovely river view
