“Beautiful house, in a beautiful setting.......”
Reviewed 20 November 2012 for a stay in November 2012

Five old school friends decided that a catch-up was long overdue! Rather than the usual dinner, we decided to 'escape' from the husbands and children and have a much needed weekend of chilling out and gossiping! We certainly picked the right house and location for this!

The house is amazing! we spend so long 'oohhing' and 'ahhhing' over all the fabulous soft furnishing and decor. But the house is also very practical and had everything we needed- from all the cooking utensils etc, to lots of chairs/sofas to lounge about in, gas fires, extensive DVD collection and comfy beds. The house is on the hotel grounds so we were able to wander up to the spa, restaurant and bar. None of us are golfers but it was lovely to be overlooking the course and Lough Erne. Generally we were rather lazy but there is lots to do locally in this area of Fermanagh- we were happy to relax, eat and drink wine!

We stayed in November, so didn't make use of the available BBQ or the outdoor seating which would be great in the summer months. The house would be great for a weekend break with friends or a family holiday with the kids. Next time we might even bring the other halves...just not sure if they would let us watch all the chick-flick DVDs!

Booking with the owners was very straight forward, and their directions and advice given was brilliant.

“The ultimate luxury getaway!”
Reviewed 8 October 2012 for a stay in October 2012

This cottage has it all, the location is stunning with views over the Lough to the Lough Erne Hotel. The interior is pure luxury with every conceivable extra and so many extra special touches. We enjoyed a most relaxing weekend - it really is the ultimate in a luxury getaway.

“The perfect, luxurious getaway.”
Reviewed 29 August 2012 for a stay in August 2012

I stayed here last week with my husband and three-year-old son and we had a great time.
It had everything we were looking for in a short break. It was the perfect, luxurious getaway.
The accommodation majors on comfort from a large upstairs lounge to the snug in the open-plan kitchen dining area. Everything about the cottage is 5 star, the interior has been beautifully considered and makes for the most restful of stays.

There is everything here you could possibly want from a holiday home, toys/books for the kids, bbq, patio at rear of the property for al fresco dining. Overlooking a world class course(so my husband says!), it is a golf lovers dream. For those who love walking and cycling, there are beautiful walk ways around Lough Erne resort itself. I would thouroughly recommend this break for couples, families with children or groups of friends looking to stay in a luxurious and restful setting, we will be back!

“Beautiful home in lovely location.”
Reviewed 21 August 2012 for a stay in August 2012

We decided to stay in a house @ Lough Erne instead of the hotel when we found 5 Fishermans Cottage. House rental around the world always tends to be the typical decor with the moderate mod cons!

Fishermans Cottage is a beautiful home fabulously decorated many many luxury mod cons. From the Bang & Olufsen music system, Lacanche cooker, Villeroy & Boch china, colourful original paintings, beautifully crafted and very comfortable furniture - this house was a true home from home for me.

It's just different, fun and more interesting than your average house rental.

Its setting on the edge of Lough Erne where you could sit all day on the patio or in the upsatairs living room and watch the golfers or the varying differnt colours of the sky each hour as is typical differing weather we get in the UK/Ireland.

A great location for resting, playing golf, walking, renting a boat and having fun with family and friands.

You can also use the Spa facilities at the hotel and I would highly recommend a spa treatment.
