“Fantastic farm holiday!”
Reviewed 27 April 2014 for a stay in April 2014

We have just returned from a fantastic holiday at Riverside Farm. We stayed at the "Retreat" with our four children aged 5 to 11. The accommodation was lovely with everything we could possibly need. Our hosts Andy and Amanda were brilliant - entertaining our children for hours, involving them in all aspects of looking after and feeding the animals! Only problem is they now want lots of pets!! Fresh eggs were collected (and eaten!) everyday, a tractor ride was enjoyed by the whole family and we had to drag the kids out to explore further afield as they would have stayed on the farm all day! Lots of lovely places to explore - we had a brilliant day on a boat on the Broads. All in all a holiday we won't forget and would definitely return for another holiday! Thanks Andy and Amanda!!

“Great Location, Family Friendly, Very Welcoming Owners and Excellent Accommodation”
Reviewed 16 April 2014 for a stay in April 2014

Riverside Farm - The Retreat.

We were looking to stay in Norfolk to attend a Diamond Wedding anniversary and were delighted to find Riverside Farm which was so reasonably priced that we chose to have a 1 week break during the children’s school holidays.

The property is tucked away at the end of a cul-de-sac in East Tuddenham, not far off the A47 but surprisingly we did not hear any of the traffic from it. The location was perfect for our family. Coming from a busy town we are not used to leaving our children outside ‘to roam’, it could not have been safer for them, although the chickens were a little too familiar.

The kids had a fantastic break, quite a contrast to their usual environments, this was a rural escape and they really enjoyed it. The owners, Andy and Mandy made the holiday even more special, they put an enormous effort into making our week an enjoyable one, taking the children to pick up eggs from the barn and feed the chickens, ducks, geese, rabbit and goats.

The accommodation was excellent with two shower rooms, one a walk in ‘wet room’, well equipped kitchen and three good sized double bedrooms. Outside there is a communal BBQ although we didn’t get this fired up when we were there. If you enjoy dining Al Fresco, I can think of worse places to sit watching the sun go down with a glass of red wine and something tasty from the Barbie.

It is possible to go on a number of rural walks from the doorstep of the accommodation as the public footpath goes past the end of the farm. We saw wild deer, loads of rabbits and the hedges were full of birds and butterflies if you have an interest in wildlife.

The location was perfect, being quite central, we were quickly onto the A47 and able to travel to the local Dinosaur Adventure Park, 5-10 minutes away (a big hit with our three boys), visit Comer Beach, Banham Zoo and a couple of local museums, all recommended. The fish restaurant at Easton is worth a visit if you are not feeling like cooking after a long walk or strenuous day with children.

Safe to say we will be returning at some point and a big thank you to the owners for their hospitality.

“weekend with the children and little grandaughter - 4 days as a couple”
Reviewed 22 October 2013 for a stay in October 2013

We as a couple spent 7 nights at the retreat, joined by our 2 children, partners and baby granddaughter for a 3 night weekend. We would recommend it. Amanda and Andy were brilliant and nothing was too much trouble. We all thoroughly enjoyed the break. It was clean and well planned and everything provided. including fresh eggs for breakfast. The visitors book said it all, it looks like so many young families had fun in the summer enjoying the boat outings on the lake, pony rides and goat walking, well done Amanda and Andy for creating a safe and family holiday environment! Thank you, from the Cheshire family.

As there are other barns at the farm with shared outside area. it would be a great venue for extended families and friends to get together.

“absolutely amazing”
Reviewed 30 September 2013 for a stay in September 2013

we had a stay at the retreat with 2 young children and a disabled family member. The amenities were outstanding. It was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. The accommodation was very modern and the farm was easily accessible for us all. Amanda and Andy were extremely friendly and pleasant and didn't seem to mind spending time with us. Our daughter loved feeding the animals and taking them to their bed. We are already thinking of booking again for next year.

“Superb Family Stay at The Retreat!”
Reviewed 23 September 2013 for a stay in September 2013

Following a Superb 5 nights stay at The Retreat we would like to say a huge Thank You to Amanda and Andy for making our holiday wonderful and welcoming.
The Retreat facilities are excellent for young children especially with providing everything you may need for the stay away, from booster seats to change matt to children's crockery, whilst still being a relaxing, clean and calming adult environment too!
Martha thoroughly enjoyed seeing the animals every day and Andy and Amanda are great with the children at explaining how they are looked after etc.
I would totally recommend this to anyone who wants a getaway from it all whether that is as couple or with family, in a great location to access many interesting areas.
Beautiful tranquil farm, friendly people and lovely accommodation done to a great standard! We will definitely return! Thanks!

“Lovely Accommodation in a Lovely Location!”

Stayed in The Stables as The Retreat was already booked. Accommodation lovely and very roomy. Had everything you need. Wi-fi was a bonus - ideal for my teenage children. Amanda and Andy very welcoming and we very much appreciated the tea, coffee, milk, biscuits and eggs left out for us on arrival. The ride in the trailer behind Andy's tractor was thrilling and I enjoyed it as much as the younger ones staying in the other barns. My daughter loved looking out for the baby frogs on our walks around the fields. For once the weather was glorious for our week's holiday. We always holiday in the UK and stay in cottages and I must say the Stables and Rivierside Farm is right up their with the best. Our first visit to Norfolk and we found plenty of places to go and see. Hiring a boat for 4 hours was a highlight. Didn't realise the Broads were so busy! Would have no problems recommending Riverside Farm and The Stables to anyone.
