We booked here as the last time we were in Christchurch, we stayed at a big hotel in Mude which was awkward for exploring anything on foot.

Yas and staff are friendly and helpful and sever BIG breakfasts that are fresh and full of quallity ingredients. Our room was in the front, but the double-glazing muffled any road noise and I am in love with the shutters and wish we had them as they are beautiful and darken the room nicely for a good night's sleep. Hot strong showers and comfy fluffy robes and a comfy bed with lots of pillows, even though not a king, we were cosy and slept well.

Grovesnor Lodge is in a perfect location. We arrived, parked up and didn't use our car again. We went everywhere on foot or took the bus. There are several stops just nearby and we went to Bournemouth to then go on to Brownsea Island. Perfect. The yellow bus lets you sight-see from the top deck, then we got onto the blue bus in Bournemouth for more of the same till our ferry to Brownsea. Same on the return... parking in Bournemouth or Poole is awful, so our bus passes got a workout!

You can walk from Grosvenor to the tea gardens easily, then all along the riverside path system out to Hengistbury Point (well worth a visit). There are lots of great restaurants along the riverside, and cosy pubs and brasseries in Christchurch itself. The church is a MUST to visit, even if you are not churchy. The architecture is amazing and the volunteers there share its intriguing history. The Red House museum in town is also worth a visit.

Everything is on the flat, so walking is easy... in fact, Christchurch looks like the ideal retirement area to me!

Newly decorated and furnished Single room, with a comfy bed. A shelf in the shower would be handy, and noises from other guests travelled ! The breakfast was excellent, and staff friendly and helpful. Parking may be tricky.

We have just been visiting friends in Highcliffe with another couple and were lucky to find this lovely B&B. It had parking too which was a bonus.
Everything was spotless and we had huge fluffy towels too.
Breakfast was excellent and cooked to perfection.
Wouldnt hesitate to recommend

We stayed at Grosvenor Lodge for a few nights, whilst down for a friends wedding.
Our room (in the roof) was lovely - spacious, modern, clean, comfy (if hot) bed & a great en-suite, but mind your head lads! Parking out front (bonus) but a bit of a faff, both having to move & being blocked in, a nuisance.
Breakfast good, but the over-sized furniture in the dining room & configuration make it unnecessarily cramped, it's also strangely "dated" which is at odds with the rest of the place.. the fabric dado rail HAS to go & the picture rail really needed a dust!

I booked this at VERY late notice to get to a wedding and despite the functional nature of my visit I found it to be really well furnished and comfortable - very pleasant indeed! The staff were very helpful organising me taxis etc and I left pondering bringing my family with me next time!
